My first conference table jitters

Posted on September 20, 2007September 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
The big Petronas job. 20 leery fall guys. I thrashed them. Contract sealed. Headquarters were pleased. My first brush with a boardroom was in KL. Then, at the inexperienced age of 25, I was merely a secondary contributor. I never would have imagined that one day I would.......click to learn what next.

The Hubs is in Bahrain. It is the kid and I. Home alone. I got a call this evening from Tee's grandparents informing us that they will be in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow evening from 5pm to midnight for a long transit to Shanghai. They hinted for us to.......click to learn what next.

The Hubs was born on Guy Fawkes thus I will need to think up a birthday present soon. What, what, what? *tapping fingers* A-HAH!!! I think I'll get him this. He already has a small one but ever since I attended the Outward Bound School in my teens,.......click to learn what next.

Just look at her! She looks like she is being all prepped up for her wedding day but it was only her third birthday party. Mom insisted she wore a party dress so that's why my little gangster is looking all prim and proper. What's the point in.......click to learn what next.

Tee meets Digi’s Yellow Men!

Posted on September 16, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Very clever, these Digi people. They opt for the yellow men strategy and not a particular face so anyone can be the yellow men. They don't have to pay someone famous big bucks for their face. They are also the most advanced telco in Malaysia and have big.......click to learn what next.

Toddlers and the concept of death

Posted on September 11, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
I'm not sure when or where Tee picked up the concept of death but of late, she has been thinking about it quite a bit. I asked the Moms at school if their kids knew about death and the majority were sure that a three year old would.......click to learn what next.

Guess which baby is my mother and which is Tee? Thank you, Frank, for thinking of me. First of all, do I have a disclaimer that my mother would not be reading this, as in, this will not get back to her? Ever? Because if it does, all.......click to learn what next.

Toddlers are Deaf

Posted on September 4, 2007September 4, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Today, at Tee's school, I was feeling overjoyed when I heard another Mother ask her 2.5 year old daughter, "Hannah, would you like to go to the book room?" Toddler walks in a circle. "Hannah? Do you want to go to the book room today?" Toddler continues walking.......click to learn what next.

Blogging Frustrations

When I initially took on the challenge of starting my paid blog, I knew it was going to be a pain in the arse. But I also told myself that with all things, we live and learn. It may take a little longer, maybe a LOT longer, but.......click to learn what next.

Ass licking, Brown nosing and Ball carrying

Posted on August 31, 2007August 31, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Why do people do it? It makes my skin wither and crawl with vomit. I need to understand why people do it. Because if I don't, I'll end up bed-ridden with self-mutating lepracy cells. On rare occasions, we dine with what some people perceive to be elitists. On.......click to learn what next.

When people knock your kid

Cheeky Monkey antics of a 3 year old

Posted on August 28, 2007August 28, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
I love the way children are so innocent. Whenever Tee is doing something illegal, up to no good, she will fore-warn us outright. Like, “Mummy, please don’t look under my bed because I’ve hidden my drug addict boyfriend there.” OK, maybe at that age, she'd be a little.......click to learn what next.

Weight loss or inch loss?

Posted on August 16, 2007 by Mamapumpkin

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
