Guess which baby is my mother and which is Tee?
Thank you, Frank, for thinking of me.
First of all, do I have a disclaimer that my mother would not be reading this, as in, this will not get back to her? Ever? Because if it does, all hell would break lose and my head would be pulverised (neck first followed by nose) on her chopping board. The old wooden two inch block. She’s come close. So close…….
I could write two to three books on my mother. Thus having to select 8 random facts is indeed an undertaking of iniquities. I mean, she did have ME after all. And since I am such a daughter of gratitude, I shall endeavour to summarise the 120,080 words of my Mother and her Amazon life, in the most simple way I know how.
- A high risk gambler where the stakes are high and the chips are low, Mom played her first draw when she had me. Having had to cope with an abusive family and an even more abusive archangel, namely herself, Mom has come a long way since but her gambling streak has not waned. She has been a stock brocker for more than 15 years and is Queen at the jackpot machine which has earned her a lot of money.
- Mom is taller, slimmer and prettier than me. When I was a teenager, all my male friends secretly wanted to hump her. Really.
- Although I have seen and experienced a dozen generous hearts in my lifetime, nothing beats that of my mothers. Mom opened our growing up hotel to many, many friends and family in need throughout our childhood. Or maybe she just wanted free babysitters. Up to now, people still call on her for help because they know she has the most generous heart; always helping people, even strangers.
- Mom has a bad habit of not drinking water that she has passed down to me. And now Tee has this same problem. I don’t know why I don’t get thirsty and because I don’t, I forget to drink. Until I am shrivelled up into prune face, way dehydrated.
- Mom prays five times a day. She needs to. Her cancer is terminal. And she smokes.
- I have also never met anyone with as much patience as my mother. She can tolerate bad behaviour without reacting, she can spend hours sewing beads onto clothes, knit, crochet, make quilts, bake, arrange flowers really, really well. Actually, it’s also talent. Real creative talent.
- Before she became a stock broker, Mom owned a florist named Madame Dior, was a trained beautician from the Lucy Clayton School in London, and a secretary to Mr King of King’s Agency, a renown property consultancy in its day. But when she left school, she was only earning RM100 a month and had to starve so I could eat.
- Mom loves nothing more than her 3 children and I am so grateful to be a part of that love. She really loves us fiercely, this woman.
So yeah, just 8 facts about my Mom……

**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.
