Did I make it to KLIA?

Posted on September 21, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Thank you to all of you who took time to comment. By this morning, the Hubs still hadn't responded to my text message asking him if I should risk going to the airport alone with Tee. My dearest brother, with all good intentions, was only able to get.......click to learn what next.

Delighted new Dads

Posted on September 20, 2007January 14, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
1980. Four men were sitting at the waiting room in a hospital waiting for their wives to give birth. A nurse came out and told the first Daddy, "Congratulation Mr Tan, you are blessed with twins!" "Ohh......what a coincidence! I work at the PetronasTwinTowers." Mr Tan joked. Then.......click to learn what next.

I need to design a child rack!

Posted on September 20, 2007September 21, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Whenever we visit my mom every Friday, it's Tee's ticket to freedom. She gets all the candy in the world, is protected from disciplinary warnings and spits at the Thinking Corner. The girl has a SERIOUS field day. Today was no different. Whilst at her Nana's house, Tee.......click to learn what next.

My first conference table jitters

Posted on September 20, 2007September 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
The big Petronas job. 20 leery fall guys. I thrashed them. Contract sealed. Headquarters were pleased. My first brush with a boardroom was in KL. Then, at the inexperienced age of 25, I was merely a secondary contributor. I never would have imagined that one day I would.......click to learn what next.

Entertainment Capital of the World

Posted on September 20, 2007September 20, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Any clue where that is? The world is so vast and wide that even one who has travelled far across the oceans would have trouble deciphering where exactly the entertainment capital of the world is. What kind of entertainment exactly are we talking about here? Adult kind of.......click to learn what next.

Posted on September 17, 2007January 14, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
This is what I was busy with last week. Although I wasn't planning a party for Tee this year, she actually requested for one as the date approached. This was 2 weeks after we arrived back from Oz so I freaked out. How was I going to organise.......click to learn what next.

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
