Some of my readers feel that when I do not fore-warn them that a post below is a sponsored post, they feel cheated, used, dirty and downright manipulated. Did I tell you I was a serial rapist in my past life? I raped women.
I think that as a reader of my blog, one has to be discerning about what I write. I am an open book. I write what I write. I have chosen to make money from some sponsored posts and that is my right. After reading my blog for awhile and if you cannot tell a sponsored post from another, then you need to make a decision if you still want to visit this site. If reading this blog is a waste of your time.
I do not see the point in fore-warning readers that this is a sponsored post (unless it is an advertiser’s requirement) because as far as I’m concerned, I could write This is a Sponsored Post for EVERY SINGLE POST (whether sponsored or not) which would then mean, that you readers who think I am a rapist, will still have to make that decision whether to read me or not.
Am I making any sense?
Why should it matter to you if I am making money or not from a particular post? It’s not like I will say King Kong is fucking excellent when it wasn’t? I have more integrity than that but if you don’t think so, by all means, do visit the many websites that are NOT making money from their blogs. It’s almost like my Christian friend saying Ooooohhhh……..playing gin rummy with money is gambling. But she herself invests in the stockmarket. Oh, that is INVESTING. Not gambling.
The world goes round because of many reasons and many personalities. Just because YOU don’t allow your child to climb up a chair in public doesn’t mean my child who climbs up a chair in public is bad. Just because he doesn’t send you flowers, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. For all you know, he could be saving up his life savings of abundance to surprise you with a round the world trip! Just because you are paid money doesn’t mean you are dishonest. If so, then what with every single employee out there? Are you saying they are all just doing their jobs because it pays their bills and everyone is willing to cross the line, however fine it may be, to secure their job? Well, some people may do that. And that’s life. You don’t have to associate yourself with them.
Tell me your thoughts, my dear readers.
I never expected writing sponsored posts to be such a dramatic affair. It’s been a long time I’ve seen my shrink. Pass me my shrink! Where is my shrink??!!!
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

Personally, I love to read so I’d generally read anything incl sponsored posts. Now, if blogger writes a sponsored post but doesn’t state so and gets people confused by it, then I’d have to say “darn good posts”..:)
I agree with what shireen@momsie said earlier, if the readers confuse then it’s a darn good posts. Personally, I love your style of writing. It is not the same as any other “sponsored post” advertisement which praise the products as if it’s ‘stainless’. Overall, I still love this blog.. 🙂
Damn right! Couldn’t agree more.
Well, it was so good I actually clicked to look at the product itself. I’ve never clicked on a sponsored post before. And yes, your writing is that GOOD.;)
sponsored or not sponsored, i come here for the joy of reading just because you do it so beautifully! keep it up!
Err… I don’t understand what this is all about. Did someone say something to anger you? Don’t care lah. You write what you want and I’ll still enjoy reading because you are so candid. I appreciate that. 🙂
“Hi Mama Pumpkin, I’m your blog, and I just want to let you know that if it makes you happy, fill me up with paid posts, I don’t mind, coz I’m yours!”
Cheers! 🙂
