Posted on June 23, 2009June 16, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
Last Sunday, I woke up super early and allowed the Hubs a lie in. Within 45 minutes, I had prepared a full breakfast for Tee and chopped up the above vegetables for lunch. It was merely 830am. The vegetables went into a pot to make chicken soup. This.......click to learn what next.

Posted on June 21, 2009June 16, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
Actually, Tee loves all kinds of porridge. In fact, she loves all things mushy as she is such a lazy ass who doesn't like chewing. You'd think she was a grandmother of ninety seriously! She just wants to get things over and done with super fast so she.......click to learn what next.

The Hubs was sent to Taman Tun last Saturday in search of nasi lemak Jaipur at 8am and he did not disappoint as I waited anxiously at home with Tee, waiting to fill my hungry tums. In the meantime waiting, I scrambled up some scrambled eggs for the.......click to learn what next.

Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa Bangsar

Posted on June 7, 2009June 7, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
So for dinner, I suggested we try out that new Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa joint in Bangsar. I had tried the original years ago in Kampung Baru (then just a stall by the roadside) and it was good. All hungry and craving good nasi lemak and you know how.......click to learn what next.

Sushi King Ikano

Posted on June 7, 2009June 7, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
Again, I had to order a salad for lunch with some salmon belly and salmon sashimi, whilst Tee and the Hubs ate whatever the hell they wanted to on the famous conveyor belt. The salad was shredded radish and cucumber and carrot. The salmon belly was SO SALTY,.......click to learn what next.

For your information, breakfast is open at Ikea at 9am-11am all week. Don't hope for the usual Ikea spread as it's not ready till lunch time. We started the day off with breakfast at Ikea (my choice) as we had to return some shelves. We had their 99.......click to learn what next.

Eating out in KL

Posted on June 7, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
We did that all day today because Mama couldn't be arsed to cook. She had cooked all day yesterday and today, she wanted a break. But for wanting a break from the kitchen, she was punished. We ate at FOUR venues and I cried all day. KL, the.......click to learn what next.

A pizza making expedition

Posted on June 5, 2009June 5, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
Tee attended a playdate yesterday at a friend's place where she got to make a pizza for the first time in her life. The kids did not wash their hands before making the pizza but as her friend's Mom said, "Oh well, the heat would have killed all.......click to learn what next.

Entertaining the Mother in Law

Posted on May 28, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
She arrives from Kota Bharu, Kelantan tomorrow. Probably with a whole box of food despite warnings of not to bring more than she can carry as I will not be picking her up from KLIA but the KL Sentral Train Station. Tee has made her orders with her.......click to learn what next.

Best Bakuteh Recipe

Posted on May 27, 2009May 27, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
*burp* Mamapumpkin style. The trick is in the brand of Bakuteh packet herbs you get. We've been trying out a few brands and found one that we're sticking to for now. I only cooked this for 2 hours and it was totally done. Perfect. The Hubs had bought.......click to learn what next.

Eating home cooked Bakuteh

Posted on May 27, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
That's exactly what I'm doing right now. I've had my second helping already, sweating from the lovely kampung chilli padi (damn........spicy!!!) and having multiple orgasms eating my own bakuteh. Who says narcissism is bad? I could eat this all day!!!

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
