T2 loves bags……

Posted on January 12, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
Before even hitting 1.5 years old, my T2 is already a big bag fan. She likes all sorts, paper bags, leather bags, canvas bags......as long as it has a colour or design that she likes, she will be grabbing that bag and NOT LETTING GO. We have this.......click to learn what next.

My baby must be the most stubborn old soul I've ever met! I have never met another person as stubborn as she is, oh my God!!! There is just nothing I can do to pull this horse to water!!! And I am stressed daily because of this. I.......click to learn what next.

Babies love climbing stairs

Posted on January 11, 2011January 11, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
Now why is that? We have no stairs at home so I was really surprised when T2 took to the stairs like a duck to water when we arrived in Perth in a house with a staircase! She was a natural! She didn't know how to come back.......click to learn what next.

Keeping herself occupied…..

Posted on January 10, 2011January 10, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
You always know that when the house goes quiet, there is trouble looming......and after the number of heart attacks that my baby has caused me, I'm surprised I'm not fifty feet down under. From around Christmas time and ten days after, she'd had FIVE bumps on her head........click to learn what next.

Baby who’s always up to mischief

Posted on January 10, 2011January 10, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
This is a back-dated post, only by several months *wink* This baby of mine loves exploring - digging into things, peeling at things, climbing to unknown places, sticking fingers into holes, chewing on unknown objects, swallowing bits of raisin sized goods, tearing the tear-ables, you name it. One.......click to learn what next.

Sibling Squabbles in my household

Posted on January 6, 2011January 6, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
For the longest time since I was pregnant with T2, I'd convinced myself that I probably wouldn't have to deal with sibling squabbles for a while since the age difference between my two girls is quite significant - 5 years, but how wrong I was! For one, my.......click to learn what next.

T2 had another accident today – OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!

Posted on December 28, 2010December 28, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
I really am beginning to think that I am jinxed. Just a few days ago, she climbed the dining chair and fell off it. Today, she was fluffing about in bed and accidentally knocked her head on the edge of the cot leg. Ouch. She now has TWO.......click to learn what next.

Cultivate a love for reading in children

Posted on December 11, 2010December 11, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Both my girls love reading. Even T2, who is only a baby. Well, practically a toddler now. I must say I worked and prayed very hard in hope that my firstborn would be a reader because as Dr Seuss says, the more you read, the more things you.......click to learn what next.

Refusal to wear pyjama sleepsuits

Posted on December 9, 2010December 9, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Both my babies have always refused to wear sleepsuits because they are Eskimo babies. We fight all the time about the temperature control in our home. They're always too hot and I'm always too cold! They both never used blankets either. So much for all the money spent.......click to learn what next.

Making kids drink water

Posted on November 12, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Monkey see? Monkey Do! My kids are terrible. They have to be constantly reminded to drink as they hardly ever get thirsty. It's in our genes. My mother doesn't get thirsty. I don't get thirsty. They don't get thirsty. There was a year where the Hubs had to.......click to learn what next.

T2’s 1st Birthday

Posted on November 1, 2010 by Mamapumpkin

When your Doctor doesn’t believe you

Posted on October 23, 2010October 23, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
This morning, bright and early, we picked T1 up from Nana's and brought her for her 6 year old booster jab. Don't ask me what it was for because I am hopeless at things like this. Which is kind of SCARY because how do I protect my children.......click to learn what next.

Ring Slings

Posted on October 12, 2010July 4, 2016 by Mamapumpkin

T2’s play date with B3

Posted on October 11, 2010October 11, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
It started out with very shy conversation. We couldn't understand a word they were saying but I would have paid a million bucks to have gone into those two babies' heads. . . B3 proceeded to teach T2 how to play the rainbow piano. In her mind, she.......click to learn what next.

My little baby keh poh chee

Posted on October 7, 2010October 8, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
As a baby, T1 was so different from T2. T1 was more often than not obedient. Although she was VERY LOUD and boisterous, active and crazy, she would listen when I told her not to touch something. She was mostly happy to play with the toys I'd allocated.......click to learn what next.

The reading sisters

Posted on October 5, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
On a daily basis, T2 will ask to be read to. The Hubs reads to her a few times a day, sometimes the same book over and over, because she refuses to change books. She has her favourites, for sure. And she is learning..... The other day, we.......click to learn what next.

Children inheriting our genes

Posted on September 23, 2010September 20, 2010 by Mamapumpkin

Bringing a baby to a coffee shop

Posted on September 3, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
