My baby girl – the one who’s given me so much more stress than I ever thought possible from a baby, is growing up fast. I just want to gather up all the time I have with her and put it into a bottle and SEAL IT FOREVER!
T2 is still not walking but she crawls darn fast. In fact, she’s baby speedy gonzales crawling zipping up and down the corridors as she follows us everywhere. Her favourite spots are under tables. Sometimes she gets stuck. And she loves cruising. She only just learned how to get down from standing position. Previously, she’d stand and cruise, and then ERRR…ERRR….ERRR……and her eyes would be telling us, get me down god dammit!
I learned something new in Perth and that was that babies are naturally made to climb stairs. We don’t have a staircase at home but did in Perth and the moment she saw it, she took to it like bread and butter. Seriously. I was worried that I’d have to watch her whilst she learned how to climb but there was no learning involved! She just climbed it as naturally as a baby knew how to breastfeed when born. I kid you not. Isn’t that amazing??? Little things…..
Her vocabulary has not really expanded since she started her first words although she tries to mimic us by watching our mouths closely and certainly always mimics us when it comes to actions. Let’s just call her CopyCat, no – Tia the Pariah Parrot. Her new stunts include making a cheeky monkey face where she scrunches up her nose cutely (T1 taught her that), and she can shake her head like an Indian dancer when you ask her to be like an Indian girl (again, T1 taught her that). She finally knows how to blow a kiss and automatically waves whenever we meet someone (within our family anyway) or leave someone, almost like she’s so intuitive. She squeals a lot more these days and laughs and smiles a lot more. FINALLY. I thought she was a baby in depression!
T2 bullies her big sister to no end by hitting her and pulling her hair and scratching her and screaming at her. I have actually scolded and reprimanded her by using a very firm voice and looking very sternly at her and she starts her fake crying. Yah!!! She can FAKE CRY! It goes something like this, uhuh-uhuh-uhuh…..then she stops to check your reaction, then again, uhuh-uhuh-uhuh…..and out comes a pout. Sometimes she tries a little harder, sometimes she decides it isn’t worth it and moves on to other things.
Her favourite toy is still the Blackberry. But I’ve since added new blinking toy phones to her collection. She likes the blinking light on the Blackberry and never tires of it. I always turn the signal off when she’s playing with it and then pray a hundred prayers that she doesn’t kill it with all that saliva. ARGH.
She is still in love with my boobs (I wish my husband was!) and has it as and when she feels like. Well, she owns them after all……She loves playing peekaboo and gets extremely excited. She also loves hiding in curtains. She likes tilting her head to one side and smiling, then she’d tilt it to the other side and smile, then tilt right, tilt left till she gets dizzy. It’s her little game. She also does ET phone home actions and High fives. She is able to point to some body parts like nose, head, mouth, eyes. She knows where her hands and fingers are. Oh, and her latest favourite? Kissing herself in the mirror. She has no idea that it is her but gets so fascinated that she has a friend in the mirror and keeps kissing her reflection. Talk about self-love! She’s also very loving when she wants to be, knowing how to kiss and hug and can even pat your back when she hugs you. It’s SUPER CUTE.
Her diet? *SIGH* She IS on diet. What can I say? For the first 6 months of her solids life, she’d eat nothing but porridge and then suddenly, she went off porridge COMPLETELY. In Perth, she refused any sort of porridge just by looking at it’s texture. She wouldn’t even try it. She’d just shake her big head and no way could we coax her into eating. She’d found a new friend – FRENCH FRIES. That is ALL she ate in Perth. Fish and chips and certainly more chips than fish. She has also developed this new disgusting habit where she’d shove the entire chip into her mouth. I don’t know why! She used to bite them off bit by bit but now, she just prefers to shove it all in. GRRR…
She’s beginning to consume more formula and that is making her gain a little more weight. She’s still hovering in the region of 7 kilos but is looking a lot stronger. She drinks about 500-600ml per day now in total but still hardly eats. In an entire day, she eats something equivalent to an apple if I’m lucky. And the weirdest thing? She used to hate bananas. We’d tried giving her bananas at least 20 times when she was 6 months old till she was a year old. Always refused it. Now she suddenly likes bananas and can eat them every day. And my husband can’t stop harping on about how she is such a WOMAN, bloody fickled and he has to live with THREE.
Oh, my precious T2. We love you and adore you to no end. But you really deserve a spanking on that bum-bum of yours sometimes! With your face though, you know that would never happen.

Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.
