What is your hygiene level?

group-bath

The above (sharing a bath with friends) is something I would never, ever attempt. But Tee and her friends seemed to have a blast. I just think it is so ‘geli’ *shivers*. Who knows what germs gets passes around in the water…..

Whenever Tee comes home from school, she is made to wash her hands immediately before doing anything else and she needs to get out of her school clothes. We do that too, and if we come from the hospital, then it’s a shower as well.

We don’t mix floor towels and surface towels, what’s in the kitchen stays in the kitchen. Towels for hands don’t mix with towels for dishes. Towels for face can not be used for hands. Even floor mats can’t be mixed…….these are all hygiene rules from the Hubs. Coming from boarding school, he is quite anal. He has this thing about washing your feet and legs before stepping into bed and makes all of us do it.

Me, on the other hand, whilst I like hygiene and cleanliness, I am not anal about it. For example, I observe the 3 second rule. If I drop something but pick it up before 3 seconds, it is still OK. I feel that if the home is too sterile, then when kids go out, their resistance to bad germs falters and they get sick easily. It’s always good to have some dirt around to build on your kid’s resistance and immunity against diseases.

I cannot stand rubbing snort or food on clothes which Tee sometimes does and drives me absolutely ballistic!!! Get a tissue and wash your hands!!!

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.

  1. well done, Mama & PapaPumpkin! Not many people bother maintaining such level of hygiene at home. Why do you think MY has constant ‘toilet problems’ in the country????

  2. I don’t allow that too, just too unhygienic, eeeeks!
BTW, Tee can give a high 5 to Alycia for gorging on junk food and sugar. And her nana is just like my mil. And I’m just like you… when Alycia disobeys me and eats and eats, I tell her not to talk to me, hah!

  3. bathing together has always been a norm in japan, even among the adults. if you worry about the hygiene, maybe u can get the girls to shower and clean themselves first before jumping into the tub together?

  4. Think I am like your hubs. I have separate kitchen towels..and it stays in the kitchen. I even have separate pail to wash my kitchen cloths.

Floor mats for kitchen, floor mats for rooms, flooor mats for terrace. All different too.

I have inside mops, outside mops, kitchen mops.

The moment we step into the house, must wash hands and feet. I have inside house clothes, and outside house clothes. Absolutely CANNOT go on the bed if wearing OUTSIDE house clothes!!!

    Hahhahaha
