I have been on a fashion spree this week after my friend mentioned that the colour orange looked good on me LOL. I have currently exactly 5 orange tops and 1 orange inspired summer dress, 1 Ferragamo orange hairband and 1 Hermes Clic H Bangle in orange. I have no orange shoes and no orange handbags although when I finally succumb to getting a Birkin, it will probably be in orange. I figured that if I was ever going to spend RM100,000 on a handbag, it better be making itself known.

In wearing style, I usually wear just ONE statement piece to stand out when I put everything together. ONE item of attraction is enough to make a bold enough statement to the world. I see some people over doing it by wearing so many items of glam that they are just OTT. And then there are some who just get it all wrong by not having the flair to compose an outfit of style.

For example, when you decide what to wear tomorrow, what is the FIRST THING that you decide on? Is it colour? Is it an accessory? Is it the shoes? Is it the outfit itself? How do you make that decision?

I follow my mood. It could be colour, it could be based on something new that I’d just purchased, and then I would work everything else around that. I have several looks that I go by:

1. Hippe/Yogi/Naturalist (not naked) which is all bamboo material inspired, zero jewellery but perhaps a leather string bracelet or necklace if at all, everything must be natural and Earth loving.
2. Rock Chick inspired, meaning black boots and metal studs LOL, y’know, like a Harley biker or an ACDC heavy metal lead guitarist.
3. Elegant and Classy, wearing clean cut clothes with minimal but expensive jewellery, court shoes or mid high heels, neat hair.
4. Smart Casual in Street Brands, like the typical American girl next door.

I would say those are my most dominant looks.

For today, I wore an orange Zara top, black Capri pants, Birkenstock black patent slippers and a colourfully knitted South American tribal bag. For accessories, I had my pink Apple watch (too lazy to change this one!), my usual hippie lava bead bracelets with the Metallic Hematite bracelet that’s supposed to improve my circulation, all my Alaska rings including my mood ring, and my orange Clic Bangle. Talk about ECLECTIC. So damn me.

My statement piece was the Clic Bangle and the Tribal Bag.

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
