Reaching Home

As I approach my 50s, I am becoming more and more comfortable in my own skin. I have truly loved my journey thus far despite all the pitfalls which has made it all the more colourful and interesting. I used to think why me when the going got tough but today, I am grateful. I am grateful that God has shown me the way.

Do you know how when you are out and about and suddenly you see an old friend from the corner of your eye and they immediately pretend to avoid you? To me, people who have nothing to hide, have nothing to hide. They would be brave to meet you and happy to hold a conversation. The fact that they have to avoid you is telling but it is OK. We should never be desperate for anyone to come say hello. I am just fascinated how women evolve with all their insecurities and idiosyncrasies.

I also find that usually when these seemingly friendly people start avoiding you, it is because they are guilty of something. Or jealous. If you are liked by everyone else and suddenly this one starts acting funny, something is up. But if you find everyone staying away from you, then you should ask a real friend what exactly it is about you that is pushing others away.

For me personally, I am a hard nut to crack. Once someone has betrayed me, it is unlikely they would ever be allowed into my inner circle without a lot of grovelling. Funny how one friend asked me if I expected this girl to grovel for my friendship. Actually I do! I have one of the highest loyalty meters on this planet! Anyone who can penetrate my inner circle is genius with heart because it takes more than 7 years before you could even get a glimpse.

I have definitely arrived home.

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
