The new Labour party head in England – Gordon Brown

Posted on June 25, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Whilst watching CNN this evening with the Hubs, I missed the above announcement when the Hubs asked if I knew him. Just because I spent a good 7 years in the United of Kingdom and love it doesn't mean I automatically know who Gordon Brown is. And could.......click to learn what next.

My little girl watches in fascination despite being rudely awakened by loud, blasting, hip-hop music. .....just to give you a taste of the Disneyland parade. Atmosphere was superb. Music was brilliant. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Ariel, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Alice and all their buddies, were jiving to.......click to learn what next.

Hong Kong Disneyland Part 1

Posted on June 23, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Contrary to what you would imagine, Hong Kong Disneyland (HKD) is the smallest Disneyland in the world and perfect for toddlers. Little Tee went on every single ride except for one - the Space Mountain. It is sooooooo toddler friendly, all the rides, and so, if you have.......click to learn what next.

Living in Hong Kong

Posted on June 23, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
Would you live here? or here? or here? The residential landscape in Hong Kong gives me the creeps... RM1.5 million for a shoebox 550 square feet flat in a location that's not hot. For that amount, you could get 3-4 times more space in the hottest locale. Just.......click to learn what next.

Sorry, I don't have the software to stitch 2 photographs together so you'll just have to make out this blur panoramic view. It was even blur to the naked eye! Oh dear, you can't see anything, can you? *sigh* What a waste of time....sorry.

My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean….

Tee and I are guessing the tunes on her little laptop. She presses an alphabet and a familiar tune screeches. This makes it a reasonable game, guessing tunes. Then suddenly, I am lost for words because I just cannot make out the next tune. I really thought I.......click to learn what next.

Baby Vicks

Posted on June 22, 2007 by Mamapumpkin
A friend of mine introduced me to Baby Vicks. It comes with a pink cap and is made from strawberries (I think?). Anyway... The perils of Asian pregnancy & after-birth superstitions

Heave-Ho! Where do I start? This tag came from The I'mPerfect Mom. Living in Malaysia and coming from a half-Chinese family, I am grateful that I wasn't subjected to the customary strict pregnancy and after-birth confinement rules since my own mother was a hot, modern Mama and the.......click to learn what next.

A fun kind of exasperation

In the Lee household, we subconsciously practise a lot of negative parenting which we are not proud of. But believe me, if you had OUR pumpkin to deal with, you'd think twice before judging. Toddler bedtime routine

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
