Our fun day at the playground

Cheeky monkey grin.

Today was a fun day. The weather was glorious, not hot at all, the perfect day for the park. So off we hopped into our new car (no legs on head rest today *wink*) with FOUR bags in tow and a couple of other stuff hanging loose from my body.

Let’s see, we brought 6 paint pots, 3 large bottles of paint, 2 jars of glitter, 1 tube of glue, 1 pair of scissors, a painting mat, a picnic mat, 4 bottles of water, a freezer pack of drinks, a tupperware of sandwiches, a piece of cloth, 2 paperbags for rubbish collection, a jar of 300 punched shaped animals, another jar of animal foam stickers, 2 hats, sunblock, a change of clothes, paint pallettes, a box of twist-up paints, an A2 sized art block, paint brushes, wet wipes, a large camera, Mommy’s wallet and erm…our lovely selves. Hehe…..was that tiring? I’m sure we brought more stuff, I just can’t remember right now but I knew at that time, it felt like I was carting a few hundred bags of bricks. And if Tee had asked me to carry her, I would have dropped them on her head.

We read stories, discussed stories, painted them, had lunch (look above how she has placed her ‘home-made bread by Daddy‘ sandwich on her favourite lock-lock tupperware), did art and craft, played in the playground and had tons of fun. She wore a T-shirt that she had painted herself too (you can get the T-shirt painting set from ELC).

We made up silly songs with every activity – snipping with the scissors (open and shut, open and shut, snip, snip, snip, snip, snipping away……), on the swing (swinging, swinging, swinging away, I love swinging high everyday….), on the seesaw (see-saw, see-see-saw, up and down we go, will we ever arrive at shore, surely not, no, no…..) – FUN!! She laughed so much making up silly songs to familiar tunes.

Tee painting her stories – Her Royal Highness chose to sit on the playground floor rather than the lush green grass. *crush!!* My dreams of a beautiful green picnic with lots of photos with nature just got swiped away from me but since it was HER day, I gave in. After lots of convincing, of course, but this girl is as stubborn as a mule and knows what she wants. I think she saw the roots of trees pushing out of the grass and decided it’d be too uncomfortable for her little princess butt.

Snipping away, her favourite pastime. Do you know how many times I said, “Be careful, your fingers, not so fast now…”

Wheeeeeee………..!!!

OK – let’s have a consensus. Do you think that made up for Mommy’s screaming day, the previous day??? Surely, she must’ve forgotten…….*wondering*
