Not human tissues. Kleenex! Or whatever brand you buy……

It’s an ongoing relationship that started as a baby. Tissues and I. Unfortunately, their first meeting with me was through my bum when someone first used that poor tissue on my soft, icky bottom. Soon after, they met my mouth…..then nose and other body parts following that. It has also helped me clean many things in my lifetime.

So while I appreciate the fact that it had to meet my then pert bottom first (the bottom has taken a drastic turn in the opposite direction since, if you need to know) and has helped me in many areas of my life, I am ticked off by the quality control in tissue boxes these days.

I suffer from chronic sinusitis and use a LOT of tissues every evening. Somehow, I always get these attacks in the evenings. It has something to do with the moon and howling werewolves. Gosh, I am spending too much time with a three year old, aren’t I?

So there I’ll be, irritated as shit, yanking out tissues one after another, to scrub my red clown blob. Except that the most annoying thing in the world when you’re already irritated, is that the tissues don’t pull out smoothly. I have tried every brand from Tesco’s to Scott’s to Kleenex to Premier to Guardian and more. They indefinitely have some defect within the box – a little goblin plays the tissue tug of war with me. Does anyone have a solution to this? How I can murder that goblin, I mean…..

And then, don’t you just hate toilet paper that don’t tear properly or have the dotted lines that don’t meet between the two layers of toilet roll sheets? I mean, how can they expect my bum to wait?! Even the most expensive toilet rolls don’t meet my expectation so where is there a good toilet roll brand?
