How rumours begin is a very simple theory of having people who do not use their brains very much to think. They have what we call lazy brain and take for granted everything and anything that is conveyed to them.
Let’s take a simple example.
When I was in England recently, I told someone that the trip was costing me RM30,000 when asked. A week later, I posted on social media (I didn’t, but let’s just say I did) that I spent RM40,000 on this UK trip blablabla. Or maybe I told someone else again when asked. Both figures don’t match, correct? This makes me an instant liar and anyone who has that small a brain would find fodder for gossip to turn an innocent event into a full on dramatised version of me. When someone wishes to learn the cost of my trip so they can budget for it and it will help them, I am more than happy to share. If I spend RM25,000 on a Business Class seat, that is my prerogative which I do not need to justify to anyone.
Some people love making others look bad. Recently, someone said I loved showing off all the time. Seriously, do I even have a motive to show off? Do I need more enemies? LOL
Funnily, I’m actually working on women to take control of their lives to be accountable for themselves and their success and if they have done something worthy with skills that display their talents then they should definitely be showing the world that they are capable!!
I don’t really care what bad people think because they don’t pay my bills and they have zero contribution into my life. As far as I am concerned, if they spread my reputation along negatively with tons of lies and rumours, the recipients who listen and blindly take their information at face value are just as bad and not worthy in my presence! I’m not desperate for likes!!
Thus, no matter what you hear ill of others, be smart. Ask yourselves, why is that person speaking ill of another in the first place? Does it not tell more of the person who is speaking ill than that of the victim?
Whenever I am badly burnt (yeah, quite a few times, dammit!), I don’t go around making public news of the people who hurt me. I believe in karma and guess what, karma has come full circle and it will continue to make it’s rounds.
Stay close to God, do good. You will never go wrong. Work hard and always be your best to give your best. No whining. Stop lazing about. Be an empowered person who takes accountability and responsibility for your own life and happiness without hurting a single soul. Not easy to do but totally doable. Do not let your past define YOU.
