Hiring a helper

Today, I was dogged tired. So tired that I didn’t take Tee for any of her classes and didn’t care to help her with her toilet trips nor cook for her. I slept all day. Pretty much. I felt so bad but there really was nothing else I could do. My sinuses were killing me. My asthma was causing me a headache due to lack of oxygen. And I was just in pain all over….

Thankfully, Tee was a really good girl and sorted herself out. She even gave me a massage with her little fingers, bless her heart, and her facial massage worked wonders for my sinuses.

So I decided again, that as much as I would hate having a stranger in my home, perhaps it is time to bite the bullet and just get one, at least to try for 2 years.

Can I ask your opinion, Filipino or Indonesian? I’d prefer someone who spoke English and realise it is really the luck of the draw, but could you please share your experiences with me, please?

Also, could you email me some reliable maid agency numbers?

Muchos Grazias!

She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.

Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.

Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

  1. how abt cambodian instead .. they can speak english .. n seems tht they are better than Indonesians and not as expensive as Filipino .. as for reliable number .. sorry cant help ..

    Good luck dear

  2. I would recommend my previous maid agency. (My mom still uses them to sort out renewal of her maid’s work permit) Think name is CSS in Damansara Jaya. Number is 03 – 77275478. They do both Indon and Filipino.
They have an “agency house” where you can send your maid there when you are away, and also during maid’s off days (for filipinas). They plan annual days out for maids. And when my Indon was hospitalised, they did ALL the paperwork for the insurance claims etc. So, I would say they are a responsible agency.

As for Indon or Filipina…I think it all depends on luck… I had a very good Indon, smart and with great initiative. But at 22 months…she ran away without taking anything from my house NOR taking any pay. Must be love-sick.

Then took on a Filipina. She was okay. Abit blurr in the beginning…but did well later. But when I left the country (after two years of having this Filipina), and gave the maid to my sister, this maid got pregnant and wanted to go back to Philippines.

Donno about Cambodian…but if you read about Laundryamah, she has a LAZY cambodian maid that is making her vomit blood.
I think communication is very important… at least filipina and indon, if speaking doesn’t work, at least you can write it down. With cambodian…you can’t do that. I’m not too sure if cambodian is a tonal language or not…but if if is, it might be quite difficult to communicate.

To sum it up…I think it all boils down to your luck whether you get a good maid or not lor. I don’t think the nationality really makes a difference. It’s only the “COMMUNICATION” barriers that you need to take heed. Different nationalities will give different sets of problems/culture shocks…

Hope my loooooooong two cents helps.
