I can explain in detail how they were organised, what games were played, how kids were entertained, what food was served, party.......click to learn what next.

Posted on November 25, 2008 by Mamapumpkin
Tee and her father, they have this wonderful relationship which is completely separate from mine with her. I am the mother. I shower her with love and attention, abundantly. I shower her with scoldings and naggings, just as opulently. But when push comes to shove, it is always,.......click to learn what next.

Congratulations Al-Joharah!

Posted on November 21, 2008 by Mamapumpkin
It's nice to see more and more women up there in the world. Condoleezza Rice is really something, but for Al-Joharah, who is Muslim from a Muslim country gets up, even if it isn't as high up, it shows the world is changing. Slowly but surely.

Getting sick from the rain

Posted on November 20, 2008November 21, 2008 by Mamapumpkin
I chose to tempt fate yesterday. I don't know why I do what I do sometimes. It is a known fact tried and tested many a time, that whenever I get caught in the rain, even if it is the slightest drizzle, I will catch a cold and.......click to learn what next.

Asking for favours

Posted on November 19, 2008November 19, 2008 by Mamapumpkin
Where do you draw the line in asking someone for a favour? I am generally ok with people asking me DIRECTLY to babysit, do some free work for them, water their plants whilst they are on holiday, run an errand for them or pick their kid up from.......click to learn what next.

Yes, we decided last night, the Hubs and I. What would really make him happy, and me too really, is that we no longer attend the many birthday parties that we have taken Tee to in the past. She will just have to adjust and learn that we.......click to learn what next.

I called for a family meeting

Posted on November 18, 2008 by Mamapumpkin
Yes, I did, and guess what? Almost everyone was on defense mode. Who's calling this meeting? Who's part of the family? Why are we having a meeting? What have I done wrong? I'd realised exactly then, that I should have reworded it and said Family PARTY, instead of.......click to learn what next.

Doing something productive

Posted on November 14, 2008November 14, 2008 by Mamapumpkin
Having a toddler means always thinking of ideas to keep them entertained. What more with a precocious little girl who's always complaining of her boredom. To me, that's a sure sign of a lazy brain. One who thinks can never get bored! Anyway, Tee was bored. Again. So.......click to learn what next.

Trusting a ‘spiritual’ leader or bomoh

Posted on November 11, 2008 by Mamapumpkin
Some people I know do just that. It is an unconditional surrender to someone or some people from the 'other' side. Some people, especially the wealthy, may do it because they do not have friends they can trust. It is almost like since they cannot trust anyone to.......click to learn what next.

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
