I woke up at 845am on a Sunday morning. What??
Yes, it’s really me. Mamapumpkin on a Sunday morning. A changed person who no longer lies in till 11am. Get ready for the new me.
I managed to flip through 2 whole girly magazines(Female and Harper’s Bazaar, me time, yes! Me time!!!) before I got off my big bum to cook scrambled eggs, ham, toast and baked beans for the family, which we enjoyed together at the Lanai (family time). There were no complaints.
Then I played Thomas the Tank with Tee (Mommy-Daughter time) where I was the Fat Controller making a speech on a stage and Tee lined up her host of trains as the audience and we had a little Q & A, followed by Rosie the pink train making a speech on what family was all about. Tee was Rosie and I must say she did a great job. She said that, well, Rosie said that “Family were people who loved each other and sat together to eat their food on the table. Families show their love by kissing and hugging each other lots and lots. Families also care for each other and do things to help each other, and Annie and Clarabel fell down and needed a plaster……”
Huh?? She went off tangent as she is so long-winded, so I prompted her again to come back to the topic of families but after a few times of asking her what else families did to show each other they cared, she got irritated and asked me to keep quiet as she wanted to do the speech HERSELF.
OK. Lay off, Mommy.
So I hopped onto someone else who was really missing me, my beloved treadmill, and burned 300 calories instead. Woot!
Then the Hubs took Tee out to repair her bicycle at the bicycle shop whilst I gave instructions to my Mother’s super-blur helper to cook 3 simple dishes – Meat balls with baked beans, steamed brocolli and rice. YES, THREE SIMPLE DISHES. That’s not even considered 3 dishes, rather 2, but guess how long that took her? Well, how long would it have taken you??? I figured it would have taken me an hour. My mom says it would have taken her less than an hour. The meat balls had potatoes, onions, garlic and minced meat. All very small portions, just for 2 adults and a toddler to eat.
Ladies and gentlemen, it took her all of 2 hours and 15 minutes to get that simple meal prepared for our simple lunch on a Sunday afternoon. You heard me right. More than TWO HOURS!!!!!!! How in the world is that possible??? So guess why she took so long? Firstly, she takes a very long time to peel vegetables, I do not know why. Perhaps she has a phobia with skin peelers. Secondly, she ensured that each meatball was perfectly round. PERFECTLY symmetrical from every angle. ROUND as in CIRCLE, concentric to one point in the middle, geometrically 360 degrees all round.
Do you think I did well not vomiting blood out? I give up…….I’m not getting a maid for now.
After lunch, we all showered and left for my Mom’s place where we had a ‘family’ meeting which kicked off with a group dance led by Tee to Abba’s Mama Mia. I had to let off some pent up stress, you know. It was chaired by myself and it was a productive meeting. Then we had dinner at Mom’s and came back home, put Tee to bed and continued with some husband and wife time.
I think I did a good Sunday.
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

Seriously, maid sucks. But in reality, it also means no need to do housework. I’m now maid-less over a month, I’m so fed up with the laundry and cleaning the house, so sometimes I rather close one eye. Dirty dirty la. Really cannot keep up with the housechores, especially with two boys in the house.
