T1 LOVES entertaining….

Posted on September 24, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
My girl LOVES attention. She loves performing and she'll make it to Hollywood if her parents gave her their blessings. She's determined enough and can find her way there. Alas, she is tone deaf. She loves singing though! But at six, the tunes are still slightly off. My.......click to learn what next.

For T1's birthday, one of the presents she received was this fashion designing book from Australia that she has not put down since. She has spent hours on end drawing and colouring and being more and more creative each day with her designs. She even designed a diving.......click to learn what next.

Children inheriting our genes

Posted on September 23, 2010September 20, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
It's fascinating how each of us have little bits of our parents and then sometimes, even our grandparents. Looks aside, I was observing my baby T2 the other day and thought, oh my God, she is so like me. I didn't tell anyone though although now I'm sharing.......click to learn what next.

The girl in denial

Posted on September 21, 2010September 21, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Whilst revising her idioms a few months back (yes, I remember because I wrote it down!), T1 asked if her butt was as smooth as a baby's bottom. She always has to compete with her baby sister and wants to be equal if not better. At everything! I.......click to learn what next.

You know how little girls always dream of having one of those life size play houses? The ones made of plastic by Step Two or ?ELC costing up to a thousand Ringgit or more, depending? Like this one? This one costs about 3k. Yup. And I'd get it.......click to learn what next.

Dealing with emotional children

Creativity in Children

Posted on September 2, 2010August 31, 2010 by Mamapumpkin
Recently, T1 had a best friend down from London whom we met a few times to play. People automatically assume that when you are a child of a designer, you naturally inherit your parents genes and are talented in creating stuff. It is a myth. First of all,.......click to learn what next.

Ben 10 girl

Posted on August 30, 2010August 26, 2010 by Mamapumpkin

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
