Tee is really a little rascal and one day, her mouth is going to get her into big trouble.

Whilst doing yoga today in my bedroom (me lying in bed), the tree pose to be exact, where she had to raise one leg with bended knee and rest that ankle against her other knee, and then raise both her hands into a ‘v’ shape above her head; she was giggling and wobbling around. I told her that if she wanted to do yoga, then to do it properly. Yoga poses were meant to be performed and held for as long as possible, not the way she was doing at all which was copying the book and doing each pose for two seconds. I told her she had to HOLD THE POSE.

For some reason, she wanted me to be involved in this activity but to me, in a tired and foul mood, if you don’t do something right, then don’t bother doing it. It’s like holding a pencil correctly. If she refuses to hold the pencil correctly, then don’t write at all!

Oh….I’m just in a bad mood today, OK?!

So there she was in her ‘tree pose’ wobbling, swaying and giggling even more because she couldn’t balance when I said in irritation,

“Stay STILL. Look at the wall and stop giggling. Balance yourself. Stop being so playful.”

And her irritated comeback with her walnut crinkled nose (which was the funniest part),

“I’m wobbling because I’m a tree swaying in the wind. OKAY!!!”

Later in the evening at 9pm (yes, she was STILL not in bed) the phone rang and since we were all lying in bed but still far from beddy-byes, I answered it. It turned out to be Tee’s Amah from Kota Bharu. We have told them many times not to call after 8pm because it is when we put her to sleep but old people seem to have constant memory lapses. Anyway, I put the speakerphone on and Amah greeted her little precious,

“HELLO!!! MY LITTLE PRECIOUS!!! How are you?? How come you’re still awake?!”

“Because you just called me, that’s why…..”

*faint*

I frequently remind Tee that I love her the most in the whole wide world but today, she taught me something new. In bed, she asked,

“Mommy? Who loves me the most in the whole wide world?”

“Mommy, of course!”

“No………..who loves me MORE than that?”

“Nobody. Mommy loves you the most. More than anyone else.”

“No……..even MORE than you, Mommy! Who loves me MORE?!”

“I love you the most!!! Absolutely the most!!! More than you can ever imagine!!!”

*sigh* “No, Mommy……..it’s GOD!!! GOD loves me the most!!!”

“Oh.”

I never taught her that.
