Educating a four year old who is school-less

Well, first of all, I attended a performance this evening at the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. An Italian ensemble of strings and a harpsichord. Have you ever, EVER seen a life harpsichord being played? Not I. In fact, I’ll bet that 80% of the Malaysian population not know what a harpsichord is.

Anyway, we had those boxed seats upstairs, the superior ones? It came with a lounge for you to lounge around in pre and post show and during break time. Refreshments were served but you had to pay for them. We didn’t know that!

I initially yawned when the orchestra started but after awhile started to enjoy it and having a musical background, inspires you to get back into the motions. I started wondering which instrument Tee would eventually pick. She seems to have an affinity towards the violin, but then, she likes the keyboard and the saxophone just as much.

I decided that I knew too little about all the million instruments there were available in the world so decided that I would educate myself about them. And then teach Tee about them too. Slow and steady.

Apart from knowing a good number of instruments, I’d also like her to be exposed to all the million sport available in the world too. I myself, am so ignorant about sport, so this will be a good learning exercise for the both of us. Music and sport.

I’d like her to not only to know the different objects/activities by sight and their differences, but also to experience them first hand. It’s the best way to learn. Does anyone know where I can find very little kid sized Baseball Gloves? Because that’s where we’re starting!

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
