Really. If you were confident enough, you’d know that.
I had the good fortune of attending University after fighting really hard for scholarship and sponsorship. I told my Dad that if he wasn’t willing to part with his money to send me, I’d become a prostitute and support myself in London 🙂 I got into one of the best architecture schools after all, wouldn’t it be a waste not to go?! It’s not like he couldn’t afford it, just too stingy to part with money.
At University, I didn’t learn how to design buildings. I didn’t learn how to draw. I didn’t learn anything about architecture, really, apart from the fact that we were forced to have some form of understanding about architectural history (of which today I know nothing about since I never studied). My most gainful experience at University was really to experience the school of hard knocks. You either sink or swim. And I learnt how to speak up and mix with anyone and everyone.
We were given projects every semester. The project brief would include…….Choose your favourite movie, Freezeframe it and Build an Object out of it. Or………What is Nature to you? Express it in the three ways that it affects you. Or…….Hammersmith is slowly evolving from old to new. What are the parameters that define old and new to you – relate it to a given site in Hammersmith. You know, abstract shit like that. And then we would all go home and start THINKING….
Once we’d firmed up our ideas, we then had to express them, in any way we wanted. We could write it, draw it, collage it, build it, act it…..whatever. As long as the ideas got through. On crit day (which is when a whole series of architectural critics visit the school to criticise your ideas), you get the opportunity to sell your idea to a room full of 10-30 people. You display your work, go up to the stand and talk about your work. THEN. They start ripping it apart. If you had a weak soul, you’d end up crying. Or worse, suicide.
Year after year, we went through the same thing with different and more exciting briefs but the objectives were the same – to PUSH your ideas across. WELL. That’s what made me successful in my last job. I knew what worked.
I know many people who have succeeded in business and even in the corporate world WHO DID NOT HAVE A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY DEGREE. They just persevered and learnt along the way. It really is in the attitude of the said person. If you wanted to learn about the ways of the world, if you wanted to learn about business; you will learn. But most people are lazy and have negative self-esteem. And it is always easier to say……..but I don’t have a University degree. It is easier to attach blame. Because really? If you wanted something bad enough, you’d get there.

She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
