I am writing this post right now because Tee is irritating the shit out of me by talking NON STOP and I just cannot understand why she cannot just SHUT UP for 5 minutes. She talks like a loose cannon blabbing away, always with something to say, even when she has NOTHING to say, she still has to make some kind of noise. What is WRONG with my child???
OK, I’ll admit. I’d much rather have a child that talks than one that doesn’t so I shall just take that back right now. But seriously???
Why do some people talk so much??? Most of the adults I know who talk a lot are either Indian (no racial slide intended, just going by statistics) or are very lonely. Yup, I found that when I was home alone pregnant with Tee 5 years ago, I would babble on like a train whenever the Hubs got home as I had kept quiet all day long! So lonely people who don’t get to talk a lot, suddenly have this burst of things to say.
I cannot keep up with people who talk a lot. It is tiring for me. I only talk when I have something to say.
Another thing I cannot stand is people who talk really slowly…….*sigh*
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

ROTL!! My #2 is just like that and when I can’t stand her yakking anymore, I tell her to shut up! I know, I know that’s sooo very wrong of me to say that, but it’s irritating the shit out of me too!
With regards the pompret fish thing, have you tried cooking it with tau cheong? Pan-fry the fish first, then dish it out. Then fry some sliced ginger with tau cheong, some brown sugar and water. Pour the sauce over the fried fish.
Or you can cook it with tau cheong and tofu pok. Same method as above.
You can also try pounding some turmeric and marinate the fish with it. Then fry the fish with the turmeric.
Can also try assam fish. Easy way out – use packet form assam paste.
Sorry for leaving the comments here. Too lazy to submit twice!
OMG I can so relate to this. Both kids do it but some days Alyssa talks for what seems nonstop for the entire day. I don’t know when she even takes a breath and it IS very tiring. I find myself telling her to please give her voice a rest otherwise her throat will start hurting. Is that bad of me? I am scared for myself. Is Ashleigh going to be talking like this? What will become of me if three of them start up all at once? OH NO!!!!
Yup… I can’t stand people who talk really slow or really soft! I always have the urge to finish off the sentences for them!
My kids talk a lot too, even while watching tv, taking their baths, eating, etc. The only time they’re not talking is when they’re sleeping.. but they still make some noise… snore!
And so does my little girl……but only when she’s at home or around people she is very close with, like a friend of mine….Thank God, among less close people, she doesn’t talk as much…..shy ma….but once she gets more acquainted…..oh…..the little radio will go on and on….
And I sometimes, do the same as Health Freak Mommy, tell her to shut up but I always end up feeling a load of guilt on my shoulders and in my heart…
