What’s on our Christmas menu?

Being Chinese Eurasians and Christians for that matter, we naturally celebrate Christmas every year with a big Christmas dinner that has always been cooked by my mother. Every year, my mother would ask us what we would like to see on the Christmas table and we would decide. Sometimes, my brothers and I would squabble over the menu but mom always manages to satisfy our individual cravings. In the past, we’ve had Indian cuisine, Portuguese fare, Chinese wok stuff, traditional Christmas turkey (least popular in our family!), Italian pastas, English roasts (thumbs up!)……and many more.

This year though, for the first time in a long time, we are going away for Christmas as a family. Our usual Christmas dinner will take place in a cool climated country and we won’t be having the present opening there because who wants to cart pressies all the way up a plane? Only to bring our new gifts back again……… *roll eyeballs* And most definitely not when we need space in our luggage for shopping done there!

So I decided that I, being the eldest daughter and the most generous sister and mother on Earth (oh….and wife), will host a small pre-Christmas meal at my home. Just so Tee can enjoy the family gathering and opening of presents. Just so we can keep what we’ve always had albeit on a much smaller scale since I have not invited the extended family.

Then…..panic! What should I cook? Mom said to keep it simple since I was cooking it alone. But what? The Hubs suggested that I cook a one dish meal and his ulterior motive is so he wouldn’t have to wash so many dishes. Sneaky fella.

So I went looking for fish recipes seeing that we’ve never had fish for Christmas before. Fish is healthy, why are you scrunching up your nose? I’ll wake up early to get some fresh fish from the market and then use a recipe I found at MyDish which looks so simple yet sounds absolutely delicious. It’s a tried and tested recipe that has been rated well so I’m confident that it will turn out great. I’ll probably look through some pasta recipes as well since my brothers may not find fish filling enough!

There are some great home recipes out there just like MyDish.co.uk shared and reviewed by real people that you will not find in any recipe book. In fact, online recipes are the best because you draw from the honest reviews from real people and make your own adjustments from there. I found my best chocolate cake ever recipe online!

Anyway, I will be sure to post my pre-Christmas meal pictures when the time comes, which is not far from today!

She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.

A beautiful life without limits.

If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.

Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.

Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.
Show your support and spread the love!
