Recently I found an old University friend on Facebook who had designed Sarah Jessica Parker’s loft in New York. I was really shocked when he told me he was now practising in Bulgaria. From New York to Bulgaria? What gives?
His wife was from Bulgaria and so they moved there for a few years. Ahhh…….But he confirmed it was a beautiful place and that I was welcomed to visit anytime. He also defended the Eastern European cities as being one of the most wonderful holiday destinations, loaded with history and incredible beauty. Well, if my friend is telling me that, then it is something worth checking out.
As I have never met his wife, I don’t feel comfortable staying with him and told him so. He totally understood and suggested that if I ever were to make it to Bulgaria, to stay at Bulgaria Golden Sands as he knows some people there. We used to fancy each other, you see……
