Practically all the food we consume at the in laws house has a story. Seriously. And interestingly so.
Murtabak has never really been my thing with me much prefering roti canai, plain at that. But when I was forced to try this particular murtabak, I was in 7th Heaven and frigging couldn’t get enough of it!!!
The only reason I attempted to try it (and I wouldn’t usually because I KNOW I don’t like murtabak so why should I try another?!) was because MIL said that this was made by a lady who ONLY made these murtabaks for the royal family in Kelantan and a few VIPs (pffft, what a snob). And just from making these murtabaks, this murtabak lady owns 2 new Mercs.
Kelantan folk – it’s a small town…..everybody knows everybody and everybody knows what colour panties you’re wearing, and whose husband you’re sleeping with and how much you paid for your Datukship, blablablabla……..
So of COURSE, I had to try it! Then I asked MIL how we got the privilege of getting the royal murtabak then? A Tunku had given it to her for Chinese New Year…….ohhhh…….whatever the case, it was REALLY good. REALLY.
You eat it with this onion chilli sauce below and it is SOOOOOOO good!!!
.
And because T1 asked for Roti Jala, Kong-Kong went all over town to his 2 regular Roti Jala guys to look for Roti Jala for his granddaughter but they were all closed for CNY so what happened in the end? Some sweet lady who happened to be the daughter of ??? *shit, I cannot even remember now* and who’d heard that Kong-Kong was looking for roti jala, made these lovely Roti Jalas for us and delivered it to our house, and refused to accept any payment for it. Such is Kelantan folk. They’re always passing food to each other.
The girls had a blast with the roti jala. They ate it plain and with Ama’s famous pumpkin soup (which the Hubs and I are allergic to).
And we, of course, ate the roti jala with some curry chicken. And a lot more of the royal murtabak!
It was a simple dinner that night, but oh, SO SATISFYING!!!
Now I’m wondering, how can I get more of that royal murtabak? I guess it would be presumptuous to ask the Tunku to order some more? DRATS.

She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.

Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
