Thanks to this Hotel Reservations vendor whose name really doesn’t justify it’s breath of services. If you have no clue what I’m talking about, my family and I are traveling to Europe next September and I’ve been asked to plan the one month long excursion (which you can read about if you look into my May 07 archives or do a search on ‘sweet nostalgia’). At first, I felt some bricks on my already bogged down and very sore shoulders, but now thanks to the internet, some amazing software and the people behind it who really took the time to make it work, my shoulders have lightened. Tremendously.
What first drew me into their site was the fact that my very tired eyes popped out when I saw that you could stay in London for GBP18 per night. WHAT??!!! That is not possible. I’ve lived in London all of seven years and the cheapest, very, very cheapest accommodation I ever found was GBP40 per night and this was pre-Millennium era. So I dug deeper and deeper and deeper to learn that they really do offer the best deals. Well, I speak for London and Kuala Lumpur because I know these cities best.
For example, if you were to book a hotel through them following a guaranteed best price option, and then find that you can get a better deal for the same hotel elsewhere, they will immediately match that lower price; or you can cancel your booking with no penalties involved. This is how sure they are that they really do have the best deals. Being the sceptic that I am, I checked out the prices for Kuala Lumpur Equatorial (incidentally my favourite hotel in KL) and it was GBP40 (converted to RM280 at 7:1). I was impressed. I have known hotels to mark up their prices especially when there is an international audience involved.
I’m not sure how they managed to swing the best deals but they’re not kidding when they say they have the best deals. From what I’ve looked up anyway.
Coming back to its Hotel Reservations name, they don’t only do HOTEL RESERVATIONS!!! They practically plan your entire trip for you short of food and entertainment! How cool is that! It totally solves my problem.
The site offers surprise, surprise, hotel reservations…….., flight booking, car rentals, holiday rentals and packages and you can manipulate it to fit your exact requirements. For example, you can choose within a budget range or particular brands (of cars, airlines and hotels) that you will only associate yourself with and connections all over with date and time check-ins and check-outs. It goes so much as to plan your car pick-up and drop-off at a different location and gives you all the available flights you can take on a particular date with all the available times.
How easy does decision making become then, huh?
I apologise for raving on about it but I am so excited that this site will be planning our holiday to Europe next year.
