The Newbie Dummies Guide to Powerful Branding That Converts To Real Results

I have been really busy this week helping over a dozen clients with branding themselves on social media, which is my forte seeing that I grew my 7 figure businesses purely on social media, and want to share some tips with you.

WHY IS A BRAND IMPORTANT

A brand of your business or your company is really an extension of yourself and what you stand for. It has to be extremely clear and packs a punch. Whilst most branding companies can come up with a brand, what usually fails is the misalignment between what your company truly offers and stands for versus what is proposed by the branding company. It is an extensive research process about the inherent culture of an organisation, it’s desires and it’s values. The problem is, many people haven’t yet thought about this and don’t really know who they are nor what they stand for. And then assuming they do, does it make it a compelling magnet for the rest of the world? Merging the two will make your organisation fly above the rest to be the creme of the crop.

HOW DO WE BUILD UPON A BRAND?

Well, what do you stand for? What are your values? Let’s take a look at McDonalds. What do you think of when I say the word McDonalds? For me, it is fast food, happy meals, Golden Arches, big M, Ronald McDonald, French fries, a simple and quick bite. Just these 6-7 words or phrases tells me all about McDonalds and vice versa. Fast food can also be a whole load of other brands but nobody has the Golden Arches. Nobody else has Ronald McDonald. What about Burger King? What comes up when you think of Burger King? For me, it is Whoppers. Mushroom Swiss Burgers. A later wannabe better copy version of McDonalds. So there is a reason why even though I PERSONALLY like the taste of Burger King burgers better, it is McDonalds that makes 4 times more revenue than Burger King. Why?

It is in the brand.

HOW TO TELL IF MY BRAND PACKS A PUNCH?

Well, building a successful and powerful brand requires some result testing. Just like on Facebook, in order to find a successful Advertisement, we need to run some extensive testing before we find the right formula but once we do, WHOOP! WHOOP! It is happy days! Because all we need is ONE RIGHT ADVERTISEMENT to keep bringing in the money. And it is the same for the right brand that packs a punch. The bad news is that doing this research to test the brand requires a lot of time and so if you have a lot of time on your hands, by all means, ask everyone around you what they think. Ask a ton of people of different demographics of your ideal client what they think. Does your brand talk to them? Will they stop to pay attention? Will they give you money?

Alternatively, a much faster way to secure a powerful brand that will convert into real results is to engage an experienced brand marketer to assist you with doing just that because an experienced branding expert would already have years of experience with millions of tested words knowing which ones press the buttons of which exact audience.

THAT, can only be a great thing.

Coming back to me helping my clients brand, it is quite ironic because I help them from my bed or wherever I am really, in my unkempt hair and home clothes; yet we are discussing some serious multi-million dollar projects. Once, I was even texting some clients from the snow literally from Niseko. Another time, I was on a call to a client from a boat until I could no longer get service and the line got cut. Super fun. I love my job.
