From camel rides to sunset cruises, breathtaking views from high places to ornately designed interiors; you can be assured that Dubai will never leave you bored. Then there’s fresh Middle Eastern salads and meats, Chanel-Gucci-Prada, the rise of ski dome and desert jeep racing………I really could go on and on.

It’s a great city. And because I have friends there, I have an open invitation to stay with them for as long as I want. The city is magnificent enough to make my friends move there and buy their own properties. One of them even has two Dubai villas facing the sea! That’s definitely a trip worth making for me! I’m just waiting till I’m brave enough to last an 11 hour flight with a three year old! What more, that’s just flight time. What about total travelling time? *shiver at thought*

However, not everyone is as lucky as me. My ex boss spends a third of his year in Dubai due to the construction boom there and he just cannot justify buying a property yet.
