Five years ago, when I was meeting trolls of prospective clients daily, I used to sit at my desk at the end of each day with all the business cards I’d collected for the day (sometimes amounting to fifty in a day!) and started typing their details onto Microsoft Excel. I still have that database today. It was bloody time consuming but I knew I had to do it in order to manage every single prospect. I didn’t give it to the secretaries to do it because frankly, I knew it wouldn’t be done the way I wanted it done.
Later, the company developed a software for us employees to key in all data received for the day and this took up even more of my time as I would not only key in the data onto the global server but still maintained my Excel database. Why did I bother? Because I never underestimated the wonders of a business card.
Nowadays they have the business card reader which is essentially a mini scanner which scans your business cards and automatically registers and converts the data on it into Microsoft Outlook.This takes virtually seconds. How cool is that? The scanner will even digest the business card as an image so if you needed to remember what somebody’s logo looked like, you only needed to open your Outlook contacts directory.
Imagine all those hours I could have saved if the business card reader existed then. If I ever get back into the business of meeting people again, I’d definitely invest in one.

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
