Supermarket from my bed

When I was younger, I remember standing at the back of those shopping carts whenever we went grocery shopping. Did you do that? Tee tries to do that now but her height doesn’t make it work quite so efficiently so I ban her from it. The last thing I need on a high speed grocery run is a toddler with her fingers intertwined with shopping cart rails. Or have her tiny toes run over by wheels the size of her head.

Thus her usual sequence of events at the supermarket now is to sit on the supermarket trolley at the chair space or the trolley space depending on her mood, to ride a roller coaster or enact a puppy. Five seconds later, she gets out and runs around because that’s what toddlers do, starts picking stuff of her fancy and dutifully places them into the cart.

When I was abroad a couple of years ago, I was impressed to see that supermarket trolleys had incorporated baby seats and bassinets. Wow! If only they’d make shopping carts with toddler self-entertainment features now, install some shopping cart software. Maybe in another ten years, huh?

Sometimes I wonder if instead of afflicting myself to an actual supermarket trip, if it would just be worth avoiding the nemesis of Cold Storage and use an online shopping cart instead. After all, many supermarkets now have secure ecommerce software built into their businesses.

My chocolate craving could be just a click away. 🙂
