Stolen car!

The other night, I dashed out to Bangsar (yet again!) to meet my childhood friend from London. I parked in one of those self proclaimed jockey parking spots where you have to get a parking ticket during the daytime. But at night, everything changes and these clubs have ‘rights’ over these parking spots. Does anyone know how I can gain some of these rights?

Out of desperation, I had to pay RM5 for a blinking parking spot. No, not blinking as in a flashing light parking spot although my car would have appreciated a disco dance (a refreshing change from the usual banal basement grey parking lots) but blinking as in a polite swear word. I figured that if I had parked in Bangsar Village, I would have had to pay the equivalent, so since my spot was closer to my destination, and my bum wholeheartedly approved, we gave the car a treat.

My friends and I, we had a great time reminiscing and laughing, and could’ve gone on all night long. But reality called and most of us had to work the next day, me included (mind you, caring for Tee is much harder than being the country manager for a renown international corporate) so we dispersed before 2am.

When I walked towards my car, I realised that it was no longer there!!!

$@*#^!^%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was furious!!! So much for paying the jockey parking spot who refused to give me a reciept as well!!!

So there I was in the middle of the lamp lit street, rotating my individual self round and round, wondering if I’d parked it somewhere else instead. But no, I was so sure I’d parked it in THAT direction, just right in front of THAT shop. It was very clearly gone and my eyes searched for those jockeys but they’d gone too. Oh my God, what had I done? *sob*

I wanted to cry. All these thoughts went through my head of what the Hubs would have had to say about me going out at night blablabla…..and then losing the car…….my asthma started acting up and just then, I saw a number plate which resembled mine.

And TING, TING, TING!!! The number plate was not on my car but on the Hub’s car. We share the same number and I’d forgotten that I’d driven his car that night and was frantically looking for my own car.

*sigh*

This is what motherhood does to you.

Depleted brain cells.
