How often do you spend quality time with your children? For me, not nearly as often enough but today, was one such day when I spent 7 whole hours with T1 at the Curve. Just the two of us. It was awesome!
We were initially planning to do our Valentine’s Day project but since we were invited out, we decided to go out to catch a lion dance instead. We had a quick lunch at TGIF before the lion dance. I asked the Manager if we could be in and out in 20 minutes and he said it depended on what we ordered. T1 is such a fan of TGIF that she knew exactly what she wanted so we told him our orders immediately, and our food arrived in 10 minutes flat. We ordered the Tennessee burger and the kids chicken fingers and we cleaned our plates out in 15 minutes just in time to rush for the lion dance start. Perfect timing. I’ve never been in and out of TGIF in less than half an hour before!!!
.
Somehow, the lion dances that we’ve seen this year pale in comparison to previous years. What’s up with that? Nobody is interested in doing stunts anymore? As you can see, it wasn’t even very crowded……*yawn* But we’re still intent on finding a superb lion dance performance and we think we’ll find it at the Equatorial Hotel as we go every year and they have never failed us, unless they’ve decided to change troupes this year…….there is an updated list now of lion dances in KL for this year if you still haven’t gotten your fix of the exhilarating atmosphere.
.
We came this close to the drums so you can imagine how LOUD it was for us. T1’s body automatically went into rap movement mode.
.
There was also the Chinese God and his 2 princesses…..
.
I told T1 to put her arm around the princess but she didn’t want to. So I asked her later, why not? She said she was afraid to offend the girl. Tsk-tsk…..so polite?
.
We, of course, HAD to stop by at the playground on the kids floor……….
.
And then we went off to meet two very, VERY pretty young ladies. Aren’t they gorgeous???
.
It is very rare that my photo gets taken since I’m always behind the camera so thank you, Ms Yew! I love this picture of me and my girl!
.
Had I known they had a water machine there at the Chocolate Lounge, I would not have ordered this bottle of mineral water!
.
T1 invited her pretty friend to blow out the candle together with her. How thoughtful…..
.
And despite meeting for the first time ever, they were already holding hands and skipping about
.
The girls didn’t want to part but it was getting late and I had to get some groceries plus rush home to cook dinner. And just as I finished my quick bout of groceries and was ready to RUSH to the car with keys in hand, T1 said she needed to poo.
Urgently.
It couldn’t wait.
We couldn’t even make it back to The Curve, and she added, “Ikano’s toilets are better, more child friendly, Mom. I want to poo here.” *rolls eyeballs*
I wonder why she thinks that. It’s not every day we go to the Curve or Ikano but she seems to know more about mall toilets than me!
So what did I do whilst she took her royal dump?
Show you my outfit of the day……..
Dress: BCBG Sling Bag: Prada
See how LOW my boobs are? THAT is a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding and child rearing……hear ye, all you single ladies! I don’t want to scare you but I’m being honest…….
.
My accessories for the day – BHT045 Autumn in New York and orange stone fish earings
.
And the bad, BAD thing about us leaving home to a shopping mall? We couldn’t resist shopping. ARGHHH!!!!! Here’s what we bought – bad, bad, bad!!! Quality time with your children includes SHOPPING TIME!!! The Hubs is so going to kill us.
3 green boy long sleeve tops from Mothercare for T1 – she chose them all. I was so heartbroken as the girly stuff were SO nice……but she wouldn’t have any of it.
.
1 pair Mothercare denim jeans – very comfy
.
More green tops and shorts from FOS. They were from H&M Hennes. Again, she chose them all……boohoo.
.
And here’s something I chose for the both of them. T1 will only wear clothes remotely girly provided I sell it to her that she gets to wear the same thing as her sister and that it is so cool to wear the same stuff – MATCHING!!!
.
Mommy was not forgotten *grins* A blue frilly top for meals out with the family
.
And a lime green singlet for school pick ups because it’s so damn hot!
In the meantime, T1 and I had this conversation during lunch. I asked her, what do you like about Mommy and what do you not like about Mommy? She was quick to respond. “I don’t like it when you shout but I like EVERYTHING else about you.” Awwwwww…………I’ll certainly try not shouting. T.R.Y.
Then I asked her, what do you like about yourself and what do you not like about yourself? She didn’t quite get it at first and started saying she liked Ben10 and Keith and drawing blablabla…….but after I explained the question and asked her to put herself in her friend’s shoes, and asked her what she thought her friend would like about her and vice versa, she had a loooooooooooooooong list of what her friends would/should/could like about her – she’s fun, she makes people laugh, she’s creative, she’s helpful, she pays attention to the teacher (huh?), she is always making cards for people……..amongst other things I can’t remember now.
Talk about narcissism!!!
And what did people NOT like about her? “Mmmm……What’s there not to like?”
*Mommy fainted* This is exactly why quality time with your children is so important.
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.
