Pusat Maritime Putrajaya – Maritime Centre

Did you even know such a thing existed???

We have a Maritime Centre, yo! Err…..what’s that exactly?

This is it! But what is this building for???

.

To get a great view from a shaded area? Sorry, I know my photography skills (or rather my lousy camera) makes this look more like a slum than a ‘great view’……

.

But there are already many buildings in Putrajaya where you can get the same view from…..

.

To look at contemporary art pieces ala silver copper tooling fishes on a wall?

.

Here, take a closer look.

.

To have beautiful big grounds so we can give more jobs to the gardeners?

.

This gardener deserves the sack though. Really.

.

To hold your birthday party overlooking the Putrajaya Lake?

.

Quite possibly……

But if you asked me, it’s another white elephant – a bloody waste of tax payer’s money because seriously, can someone please tell me how often the space, that vast amount of space, is used IF AT ALL???

Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.

Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.

A beautiful life without limits.

If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.

Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.

Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.
Show your support and spread the love!

  1. White elephant? I doubt it. From my daily observations since 2010, unhappy adults don’t really like this place. Then again, I maybe wrong.

  2. I actually come here quite often with my friends and cousin. The pool is great and the steam sauna is the best. Beats Fitness First’s hehehe. Although I can’t say the same bout the dry sauna. The gym has limited machines but still decent enough to break a sweat and workout. I’m actually planning to try the karaoke lounge soon. The fees for all the facilities are reasonable even if you are not a member and only go on a pay per visit basis and they are really well kept. Oh ya, not forgetting, convenient…ample parking, the food at the restaurant is good and there’s a prayer room.

  3. I was told that this place is a great place and will love to check it out. Looks lovely but how come not many people knew about this place. The authority or owner should do more promotions and advertisments to promote the place so returns on investment is there. Cheers : ) : )

  4. Yup, agree with those comments above. Maritime is a great place with a lot of activities and facilities. The swimming pool is the best. Indoor swimming pool for adults and kids. It always full with people and so convenient. Sometimes some of us choose to swim rather than go to alamanda during our long break in friday. see… it is sooo convenient. hehe… At least for us in putrajaya πŸ™‚ not just that. Its been my regular jog route and the view is the best. Also i can see many people go there doing their own activities. Family, youths, kids. They enjoy it so much. Other than that, Maritime has a lot to offer. Its a must go spot πŸ™‚

  5. Hi mamapumpkin. I bet u’re right. Talk is cheap. Why not take it together with a bunch of salt and lots of pepper? In your case.

U not the only one paying in tax here.
    I paid tax about RM300k a year.
U can calculate my income though.
I have a choice if i dont want to pay my tax. Charity.
    Or swiss private bank.

    Yes i have a bussiness.
U might say, oh this fella rich got plenty of money thats why she can bitch about paying tax.
Do mind, 6 years ago, i had a salary of only RM839.80 per month to be exact.
Can’t live with the salary. Even i’m single.
Do I blame the gov for not giving higher salary?perhaps. Not sure. Maybe. I have a degree by the way.
But then i’ll find out how i could change my life. Took months to find out about the oppurtunities the gov had provided to start a biz. Esp for single women like me.
THERE’s A LOT. Tekun, etc etc. u jz need to apply.
I took loan from the gov funding, of course hv to pay monthly after i got the loan.
Failed for the 1st time. Go back to them. They provide me with biz advises, etc etc. Applied for another loans.

Now, i am paying tax for RM300k a year. 6 years ago my income for a year is about RM10k.

I still go to this place u called white elephant.
For me its extremely cheap paid rm5 with a first class facilities.
    More importantly, knowing that i had my cents threw out to gov to build this white elephant, and seeing without fail every weekend, the smiles on the childrens faces playing with water, and a bliss smiles of the parents faces, feeling content of achievement that their children were happy;
it’s all worth it. For the RM300k tax that i obliged to pay each year.
And knowing that cents of my taxes, is being threw to funds gov institutional to provide loans for Malaysian to start a biz, jz like me, build mosques, schools, roads at kampung, pay teachers so the children will get their education, pay government servant so they can buy food, buy clothes for themselves and families, even to the minister wether they did good job or crap job, doesn’t matter to me as long as i knew, the salary they have they used it to bring their family to dinner, buy clothes, holidays to make their children, wife happy, and knowing each one of all these, i had my 2cents of mine.

Yes u are right, mamapumpkin. Talk is cheap. Very cheap.

And i will continue to pay my RM300k tax a year.
Just to put a smile on Malaysian, when they received their salaries, received funds, and knowing i had my 2cents on it.
The feeling of it, fulfilling, contentment, bliss, achieved, victory…u named it.

    Sincerely;
    Hamba Allah
