I have this Procrastination Habit. It’s a terrible habit but something I’ve had since I was a kid. I’m trying to change for sure because I know it’s a bad habit and I don’t want influencing bad habits into my kids. It sucks! Take for example, I would never study until the very last minute for any exam. I was always just very lucky that the questions that I’d spot studied would come out.
My old principal, Mrs FR Bhupalan, who happened to be my Aunty’s teacher once upon a time and my Dad’s too, wrote in my autograph book that Procrastination is the thief of time. I have been trying to change since but change doesn’t happen overnight. See? Excuses again!
Late last year, I told the hubs that I wanted to sign up for a Finance Course by the University of Cambridge. He said no because I was undergoing house renovations, then it’d be Christmas and we’d be off on holiday. I wanted to do the course so much that I justified how it was all going to come together and so paid for the course. Then regretted.
I really expected my home renovations to complete by December and I’d be able to focus on the course during my holidays a little. Well, things did a twist and my home renovations are still incomplete. It has been my biggest financial sucker that’s making me lose so much money this home renovation that I just can’t wait till it’s over and never do another home renovation again! Contractors are all liars. Period.
Here I am now on holiday in Niseko with my house under construction in KL and I have 4 more days to complete the coursework for my Finance course. Here I am blogging because I like blogging much more than doing my coursework especially in such a dry subject like finance! Thank goodness I didn’t become an accountant!! I mean, I love money and everything, and I am good at making money from nothing, but to study about the intricacies of finance and all that jargon? Zzzzzzzz…….
Procrastination is the thief of time indeed. As always though, being Patsy Woo, I shall get it done. Wish me luck!
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.
