Remember our little Kelantanese animal adventure? Well, we walked deep into a jungle to see pigs! If you may or may not know, Kelantan is a PAS state. A very Muslim state in Malaysia. And Muslims and pigs aren’t good friends. Thus the deep in the jungle thing……

MIL happens to have a Thai relative who’s rearing some pigs in the Kota Bharu jungle, so lucky girls got to meet real pigs. Hahaha……it really reminded me of the show BABE. T1 was whinging the whole time walking into the jungle because it was muddy and she kept having to really pay attention walking. And then when we approached the pigs, she couldn’t stand the smell!!!

Doesn’t her new haircut remind you of that cat with the watermelon helmet? And allow me to clarify that her outfit was not chosen by me. It’d be suited for the magazine UNVOGUE.

Babes in Kelantan……soon to be slaughtered for food. I was told that the good thing with these home pigs was that they were all chemical free, totally natural, no antibiotics etc. MIL was chatting away to her cousin in Thai and I couldn’t understand a thing.

Say hello pigs in Kelantan! Snort-snort…..Don’t let the Malay Imam find you!!!

My MIL was so prepared for this adventure, she brought a big red cloth to wrap precious baby up so she won’t be feasted on by mozzies in the jungle. Baby was curious at the pigs, and then we saw the grandmother of all pigs……

OH. MY. GAWD.

T1 freaked out and wanted to leave immediately!!! Actually, she already wanted to leave immediately once she couldn’t stand the smell but nobody would walk her out of the jungle. But even I got scared looking at Mamasan Pig.

Lovely Mee Suah with red fish and lots of salted vegetables and God knows what else. All I know is it tasted damn good.

Maybe I should learn how to cook this too. Hmmm…..I wonder if pigs in Kelantan taste different from pigs from Ipoh, let’s say?
