My baby T2 talking early

In the last month, a friend of mine kept asking me if T2 can talk and I was thinking, is she crazy? T1 only started her first word at ? actually I have no idea when now but it was Mum-Mum. Yeah, she was a greedy little one. If you read back over the years, you’ll discover just how greedy she was, to the point of wanting to dig food out of my mouth!

Anyways…..

I started paying attention to T2’s speech and although she could babble Dada or sometimes Dadadadadada, Mama or sometimes Mamamama and Booboo or sometimes Boobooboobooboo (whenever she wanted the boob! and coincidentally, this is her most used word and she sure knows how to use it when she wants it!)), this morning she followed after me instinctively and said Goo when I asked her if her breakfast was good. And when T1 hugged and kissed her goodbye before she left for school, T2 waved to T1 and said Babah for bye-bye!

T1 and I looked at each other with wide eyed wonder simultaneously and went, Wow!! She said bye-bye!!!

So later, I quickly googled to check when these first words are supposed to appear and apparently anytime between 9-12 months so actually, T2 is just right on track. But despite her slowness in other areas (such as crawling), this is a good sign.

T2 is a roller. She likes rolling and when we encourage her to crawl, can only crawl backwards. But if really pushed, she’d do the freestyle crawl, which is to reach her right arm out like swimming the freestyle and bend to the side, then reach her left arm out and bend to the left side and so on. It’s damn funny…..and she struggles to do this, grumbles on the way and will only ever do it for the boob.

Oh, T2…T2….we truly love you more than the Heavens and Earth put together even if you can’t crawl yet nor have a single tooth out. Muaksies!
