Last year, T1 learned the Chinese Zodiac and I told myself I needed to as well but surprise, surprise, I haven’t as yet. OK, that will be my mission this evening. I wonder though how much is actually retained in that little head of hers??? I shall test her later when I see her.

She also learned the flags of the world when one of our dearest friends presented her with a deck of cards of the flags and a sticker book and chart (it’s on my living room wall!) of flags. I myself took the initiative to learn up the flags but I could only get as far as Asia and Europe and a few others that I was familiar with. The South American flags are really hard! What about you? Do you know the flags of the world? Do you know the Chinese zodiac? What else can we learn?

Every year, we try to challenge enrich our lives by learning new things. This year, T1 will probably learn the capital cities of the world and their currencies. And I shall follow suit. It’s just good having lots of knowledge. Why waste our brain when it is so capable? Albert Einstein did say that we only use a minute percentage of our brain so it is capable of lots more. In the olden days, I would remember everybody’s phone numbers by heart. Now, I’m just lazy and scroll the phone address book. But seriously, if we have the opportunity to use our brain, we should really use it. Our brain is a muscle that needs to be exercised. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. Don’t worry about using up your brain cells.

And since my two births and epidurals, I’ll admit that I’ve never been so dumb. And that’s pretty bad as I wasn’t the brightest spark to start off with! *stares at you with blank, dumb look*
