Ever since my Mother contracted cancer, she has been a walking drug store. The woman has to wake up by a certain hour everyday to take her medicine failing which her whole day would be ruined. And since she gets immune to the myriad of drugs given to her, the Doctors have to keep testing different drugs to see what works and what doesn’t with her. Quite worrying when you are the patient.
But if she were online more often, she’d be able to access information on whatever drugs she takes plus learn more about her condition. In fact, you can learn all about illnesses and diseases on the net including what drugs to take for Community-Acquired Pneumonia or what treatment is best for the production of low progesterone and etcetera.
In particular, this site called Epocrates lists new diseases in its database (the world is ever evolving, isn’t it?) and it has an integrated drug reference guide. How useful is that!
