Latest Louis Vuitton Collection Malaysia

Lately, readers have been asking how come I don’t blog about handbags any more. That sent me straight to the latest Louis Vuitton Collection in Malaysia. Even my friends are asking why I’ve been using my cheap Guess handbag for months. I LOVE my Guess bag because it is cheap, stylish and serves my purpose. I can thrash it, put it on the floor, let T2 draw on it and I don’t have to sweat. At all. It is seriously my thrash bag and I really, really love it!!!

However, it has only lasted about a year and the handles are already showing signs of breaking. What do you expect? It ain’t leather! Obviously time for a new bag even though the Hubs thinks I should just use all those that are sitting in the closet. Can I thrash those? Hell, no.

So I need another thrash bag, right?

I need something of moderate size that has a ZIP to close. Very important as there are lots of pick pockets around town. It has to be stylish. It has to fit my fat wallet (full of receipts, not money!), my card pouch, my small make up pouch, my keys, my Ventolin inhaler, Papaya cream for the kids, a diaper or two, my phone, a pen, a notebook, iPad, phone charger, point and shoot camera, camera spare battery, Kleenex wipes and my tissue pouch (for cleaning up lots of toddler mess!), my cardigan, my slim calorie counter book from the Doctor, preferably big enough to stuff an A4 plastic folder into it and I think that’s about it.

So. New bag.

I looked at the latest Louis Vuitton Collection in Malaysia and I was not impressed. The only bags that caught my fancy were the Palermo and the Tivoli but at a few thousand each, oh and I also like the Stellar, isn’t it more practical to buy another cheap Guess bag that I can again thrash around? A Guess bag is a few hundred and lasts a year. An LV bag ranges from a few grand to more than 10 grand. I have five sitting in the closet not doing much and honestly, I have only used the LV in Mahina leather less than a dozen times. Sure, Tok-Tok said the leather was beautiful (soft calf leather…..) but what’s the point of it sitting in the closet, right? Anybody keen to buy? They don’t make it any more so limited edition!

So. This is the Palermo. GM size 45cm length x 36cm height at RM5,450.

And this is the Tivoli. GM size 46cm length x 28cm height at RM5,450 too.

OR The Stellar in Blue – I’ve been wanting to get a blue bag…..but I can guarantee that because this is in Mahina, it will be more than RM10,000. Hick. I do not want to spend more than 10k on another LV bag!!!

Or, shall I just get another GUESS bag??? RM500 or less, if on sale.

Honestly, after reviewing the latest Louis Vuitton Collection in Malaysia, I have decided that Louis Vuitton is really not my thing. Maybe I should go Anya Hindmarch, more for personal style…….maybe Mulberry, for practicality…….

What’s the verdict?

T1 said I should just use a plastic bag.

By the way, I want to get one of those Olivia Le Tan book clutches. Have you seen?

Here you go:

  1. you got a LV Mahina bag?? Can u mail me how much you want to sell and perhaps a pic or two of that bag?? Thanks.

  2. guess what bag i am using? only my double zip handmade mamapatch wetbag, hahaha…! one part to store my card purse and some lil cash, and another part my handphone. Happy because it doesnt even look like a handbag when i place it in car, hehehe…..dont think anyone would wanna break my car window for my Wetbag, hehehe…

  3. Try oroton for cheap leather bags – they were having a 70% off sale, and I picked up a “to thrash” full leather bag for less than RM600 including shipping and duties 😛 Oroton boutiques in KL are way overpriced! Designs aren’t that great, but still usable 😉

  4. oo the Palermo very nice eh, but certainly not for thrashing. I’m using my Longchamp which I got it at a steal, only HKD600. And it’s good for thrashing LOL. Hey Anya also nice leh, I’ve got one which I used it till the strap started to wear off, still keeping it cause it can really stuff things like A4 files, big camera. Just what we need.

  5. Hi, I’m a Mulberry and Anya Hindmarch fan, I think I have more then 10 pieces of each brand, but I have only two arms so most of the time, these bags are sitting in my wardrobe. What a waste.
