Increasing my breast milk

Not that I have to but I’m just curious and also, I figured that if I increased my supply, perhaps T2 would take 1 minute to drink up instead of 10? Anyway, I’d been taking fenugreek tea on and off by just pouring hot water into the seeds but haven’t really noticed any difference. Then I read how Michelle is breastfeeding 2 babies and was even more curious. It seems you have to grind the fenugreek!

Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find a mill in KL so I asked the Hubs if I could grind the fenugreek with his coffee grinder. He gave me a look.

“Does it have a taste?” he asked suspiciously. You know, him and his coffee…..

“Yeah, it’s slightly bitter, very mild. But coffee is bitter anyway!” I pleaded.

“You can’t really remove the blades for proper cleaning, you know…”

“So?” I really didn’t see the problem with 0.0001 grammes of fenugreek penetrating his Illy grains!

“What if I start having milk?”

To which the both of us burst into laughter. Now, that would be something, huh?!

  1. that’s a good one from yr hubs 😀 hey, i read from Shireen’s blog abt increasing the milk supply by drinking organic milkmaid tea and mother’s milk tea. They are made up mainly of fenugreek. Perhaps you could try that?

  2. isn’t it wonderful if he starts to produce milk too? my hubby was complaining that he was putting on weight. i told him he should try to breastfeed instead being breastfed. LOL.

  3. LOL!! Have you tried green papaya soup? Heard it work wonders. I didn’t get to try last time as it was so difficult to find around my area. Anyway, feed on demand, plenty of rest (try to), lots of fluid and a positive attitude should do 🙂 Happy BF-ing dear.

  4. Oh ya, those fenugreek seed are super tough seeds. Don’t think the coffee grinder will do the job. Before I found the fenugreek seed, I actually bought the fenugreek caps online, rm40 for 150 caps. And when I later found the seed at the supermarket, I almost faint. One packet cost only one ringgit!
The only problem now, where to find the ah neh to grind it?

anyway, I took 4 caps a day for like a week, then I stop taking it since because I now have enough milk for bbg.
