Believe it or not, I’d been ill with pneumonia before the Yangon trip last week and had been ill for 2 weeks already but because I’d been so busy with organising the Kids for Kids event and busy with work and the kids etc etc etc, I did not even pay attention to my body but just kept going. Of course, when the fever hit, I slowed down a little and then eventually my body gave way and I could. not. move.
So I finally went to see a Doctor and got scolded left right and centre for not coming a whole week earlier. I told the Doctor I had to go to Yangon. No two ways about it. So the Doctor gave me the heaviest dose of meds which included steroids and anti-inflammatory drugs and made me buy my own home nebuliser to bring to Yangon as the pollution in Yangon would exacerbate my lungs for sure, what more my asthma.
What to do? Doctor’s orders so I forked out even more money (on top of medical bills!) to buy this nebuliser and off I went to Yangon. I must say, I did suffer quite a bit (dirty lung-wise) but because I was already on antibiotics, I was stable and on my way towards recovery.
Now, I’ve just read about nasopure, I wonder if it would help in any way? I’m back from Yangon now and still have phlegm embedded deep down but other than that, I’m feeling alright. Still one more week of super busy-ness before I can relax!!! And even then, relax? I have so much work to catch up on, God damn it.
