It’s true. But it only means I have too much on my plate and I’m not on top of my game. That sucks.

I want to be chilled. I want to be so free that I have time to smell the roses and play with my kids.

Thus I shall make that happen. To hell with making money. To hell with pleasing people and what people think of me.

To end the year with a BANG (for my own sanity, and how bad has this year been anyway? BAD!), my priorities will be cooking and cleaning and loving, not in that particular order. I will exercise and eat healthy. I will shower my girls with attention. And I will brighten up someone elses day everyday till New Year’s Eve. What would it take for someone to brighten up your day? I need to brighten up the days of sixty odd people till 2011 *smiles*

This week, my in-laws will be coming to town. And we’ll be off for a one week holiday. What?! Holiday again? YES!!! It’s a BIG-BIG FAMILY HOLIDAY involving the whole Eurasian clan of cousins I have down south, my in-laws, my parents and close family friends. We go to Chiangmai to celebrate Tok-Tok’s birthday and another cousin’s birthday.

TWO SEPARATE BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!! Amazing Thai food , lots (LOTS!) of body kneads, a fabulous boutique hotel and the incredible camaraderie of close family and friends.

There’ll be wet faced laughter and bruises from falling off chairs. OH, I so can’t wait. And although I’m not looking forward to that red plane (especially after that Perth experience), I console myself that at least we have almost the entire plane for good company. And it’s a much shorter flight. At least, T2 can be passed around if they can bribe her well enough.

And T1 gets to miss her final year exams. Boy, is she pleased…..

BUT.

But before that, I have some writing assignments to complete, tons of emails to respond to and I need to come up with a plan on how I can care for my Mom. And a budget for the next year. And just a few hundred things on the to do list which I suppose can spill over to 2011. *big sigh* Why can’t I just press a button and all will be completed?

Oh gosh! I need to pack for the family. Double crap.
