Not many people know that there is a Food Court at Publika Solaris Dutamas.
For the non-Muslims, this is a non-Halal food court that is always buzzing the moment the clock hits noon. One of the secret discoveries we made recently was their famous Hokkien Mee. Now, Hokkien Mee is a very fattening dish to consume. One portion of Hokkien Mee is almost 800 calories, worse than consuming a Roti Canai. So beware.
The last Hokkien Mee I had that was good was at the rat infested side street of Jalan Alor. I would say this was a good substitute in a clean environment. The queue for this Publika Hokkien Mee is VERY LONG. So long that you first queue to make an order. After making the order, they give you a beeper so you can get on doing whatever it is you want to do besides waiting for your Hokkien Mee. No kidding!
A further 30 minutes later, your beeper starts beeping and you can then walk back to the Hokkien Mee stall to collect your Hokkien Mee. It was well worth the wait as it was a Hokkien Mee with lots of THAT special ingredient that goes into good Hokkien Mees. It is the famous Sentul Ah Yap Hokkien Mee, yo!
