A month before the year closed last year, I harped on about how good 2014 was going to be and YES!!! It has started off very well indeed. And I must add because I am just itching to, that the half cup full and the cup half empty analogy holds in this instance because the person who always moans and groans about life (he, who has the cup half empty and is always given a raw deal) will ALWAYS be down. And he who has the cup half full in any circumstance, DESPITE any circumstance, will be propelled to the goodness in life. It all depends on what kind of eyes you want to use to see the world with and the beautiful thing is, you have a choice!
So this year, true to tradition (not a proud tradition I must add but since the kids keep saying that they WANT and LIKE to see fire works), we have again booked ourselves into a hotel to witness the millions spent on potentially dangerous fireworks. There is a point where I will slowly wean them off this fireworks trend to learn how to appreciate and usher in the New Year simply by sitting outdoors by a camp fire (as inspired by my Homeschooling friend, Haslinda) or spending family time in the hearth of the home playing Monopoly and such. Yes, the more I think about it, the more this is how it should be but why deny them the thrill of the fireworks just yet?
We had the most expensive dinner of our entire lives (not by choice but by chance, freaking hell) to bid 2013 goodbye. It was our big celebration for so many new things happening from here on. Really. It has been an exhausting but productive year, 2013, but now we have new plans.
Here are some fireworks just to show you how close they were to our room:
Below was another set of fireworks slightly further away……
Not only did we have front row seats from our hotel room, we could see about 10 different fireworks parties going on from where we were and that was such a big thrill for T1. It was a long 45 minutes of fireworks and then what happened? The girl wanted to go downstairs to roam the hotel and see the crowd. Gosh, this girl is growing up too fast.
T2, as you may have guessed, was fast asleep in LalaLand as she had swam the evening away and gone shopping in the earlier part of the day. Bless her. We showed her photos and videos the next day.
T1 and I hopped around the Le Meridien and the KL Hilton and it occurred to me just how old I was. I was no longer interested in the noise, the big commercial celebration of ushering in the New Year, the sexily clad party goers, the amount of money spent on just celebrating this affair……crazy.
We tried to look for cake but both hotels were sold out as there was just too many people so they began asking their cake chefs what ingredients they had to make new cake. It was 1am!!! Yes, but there is a demand so we have to get it done quick. What time would your cakes be done? Oh, we’re not sure, perhaps within the hour. Wow. Were they for real? I wasn’t going to wait so we went out to KL Sentral and bought Secret Recipe instead. Not ideal but what the heck so at 2am, we were watching movies eating cake. Tsk Tsk!!!
Happy New Year, folks. May 2014 bring you as much blessings as you deserve and lots of good cheer for your merry soul. My message to you is:
MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

Happy new year. Have a blessed one this year. 😀
