This is something you should NEVER do because that is exactly how one of my friends got her handbag stolen in Bangsar Village. She stopped to look away to chat with a friend and then continued her trolley pushing but by the time she noticed that her handbag was no longer at her trolley, it was too late. CCTV cameras caught the buggers in action (very slick) but there was no way to catch them. It was too late. Gone with the wind.

Thus I am warning you. Never hang your bags on the supermarket trolley.
