We always have this problem of deciding where to eat whenever we eat out because we all like different food. That is so bad, right? There are 4 of us in our humble family and every single one has a unique taste in food. How does the family even stick together!
So today, yet another family meal decision day, we asked the kids where they would like to go for lunch. T1 said, “No Chinese please.” and the little one said, “Japanese!!” The options were Indian, Japanese, Nyonya, Western, Malaysian and Thai. Since T2 chose Japanese and T1 said no Chinese, we went for Japanese. Honestly, I myself wanted Nyonya or Thai, but you know as a Mom, you always give in and make sacrifices to let your little ones be happy.
Wrong move!!!
The Japanese restaurant in that vicinity was so lousy that I instantly regretted my leniency in letting them decide the meal, and especially since I was so hungry! So whilst I chewed for hours on my WAGYU BEEF which tasted more like the back of my car tyres, I intermittently moaned and groaned about the bloody restaurant to which my little one said, “Well, who asked us to decide in the first place? And who agreed to follow our decision?”
Ouch!!!
