I am now a wanted criminal by the Australian Government.
I’m only kidding.
But today I experienced my 3rd nightmare with immigration officials. For the first time ever I felt violated because the Australian authorities wanted to review my phone messages and asked for my passwords.
WTF.
I guess they’re just doing their job but I seriously felt violated. It’s a good thing I didn’t write any messages that dissed the Australian Immigration, isn’t it!?
I spent an hour waiting and being interrogated because they were under suspicion that I was here to make money from their Australians and I couldn’t have been more pissed because if anything, I was the one PUTTING MONEY INTO THEIR COUNTRY!!!
They asked me, “What’s in it for you? Why would you do this?”
Fuck me running. Why do you think I give people money for holidays? Why do you think I pay for people’s funerals? Why do you think I pay for people’s medical bills? Why do you think I pay for people’s kids’ education? Why do you think I support Single Moms? Why do you think I give to so many people until I can barely pay for my own taxes?
Because the world is dark enough as it is and I am on a mission to change the world. Someone’s got to start somewhere, right? If the whole world is going to play for themselves only, when are we ever going to create change? I was so pissed. Like hello? Do I really need to come to Australia to earn your money? I have the whole entire world to earn and besides, my husband earns enough and seriously, no….I do not need money from Australia. Although money in the hands of good people is always welcomed because good people do good things.
They asked me if I was planning to sell the empty bottles I had in my bag? No, it was my investment to give it away so people can learn to live better. Believe you me, I was not making a single cent from coming to Australia. In fact, I was making losses, which was so hard for them to understand. I felt like shoving my diamond ring into their faces so they could see that I truly did not need to come to Australia illegally and overstay to find some backdoor job or do some illegal business. OK. OK. I know they’re just doing their job…..what with the current recent Malaysian Government trying to hide property and jet planes in Australia.
To cut a long story short, they searched my luggage inside out and asked why I had so much money. Duh?! So I could shop if I saw something nice?
The worse part for me is having a total stranger read all my phone messages. Come on! That is private! I have nothing to hide but I just think that phone messages are private. And the reason I am pissed is because they interrogated me on my message to my own daughter.
I left a message for T1 saying I was expecting some parcels and to look out for them.
They assumed I was some kind of terrorist smuggling stuff into Australia.
I had to explain that T1 was my 13 year old DAUGHTER and I was expecting these parcels in MALAYSIA.
Geez!!!
