Recently, Tok-Tok was offered a new job and so we celebrated with him on his new appointment which incidentally pays pittance but never mind that. I told him how in the past when I had wanted to work for that particular company, I was told to pay them a ‘fee’ so that they could put my resume into the top pile. I didn’t want to pay anyone anything just to see my resume so I scrapped that idea. Tok-Tok was infuriated and said he intended to clean up all this nonsense and look into middle management crooks. It isn’t easy cleaning up such a big company, I can tell you that much!
Which brings me to my own position of power once upon a time when I had access to an ID card printer and was in charge of printing identity cards for members. I could have easily printed cards out for all my friends so they could enjoy the benefits but I didn’t and couldn’t. If you have a really good id card printer, it isn’t so easy for others to make a copy and I protected out company like a hawk. Every member also had to wear their membership card under high security with a badge holder so that they wouldn’t misplace their security tags.
In today’s world of crime with everyone out to make a fast buck, we must always be extra vigilant and have fool proof methods in protecting our interests at all times. Right now, my access to my home is with a computerised chip in a plastic key chain like gadget that I carry together with my keys. I absolutely cannot lose this as it’ll cost a bomb to replace and besides, it will only mean that the person who finds it will have potential access into my home. So what do I do? Wear it super safe!!!
