Chanel Boutique in Bangkok Airport

I have readers reminding me that I haven’t yet completed my 12 point post on my Bangkok trip, in particular one who wanted to hear about the Chanel post. Oops! Here you go then….

Don’t expect lots of photos of beautiful Chanel bags because I spent more than an hour lusting after the Chanel bags that photography didn’t even once cross my mind! Besides, would they have allowed it?

The story goes that I have been on the hunt for a classic Chanel bag. Just because. I LOVE the look of it. Not an Hermes, but a Chanel…..not just any Chanel, but a classic Chanel.

SO BORING, my Mummy keeps saying. That’s because it’s been around since her time!

I spent the entire time trying on bags and parading them in front of the mirrors, asking the opinion of my fellow friend, Charlotte, and the sales lady, whom by the way, was the most patient and polite gem.

I had short-listed my I NEED A CHANEL BAG list to the classic flap bag in a large size (still haven’t decided exactly what size) though the Hubs thinks I should go for black (so boring).

OR….

a GST (a more casual option) but still couldn’t decide between the two.

And after I decide which one, I still have to decide on SIZE. Then colour. SIGH.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!! Here I am deciding on Chanel bags whilst some people decide if they can muster another breathe of strength to stay alive from starvation…..or near death……*morbid*

*snaps out of morbid mode*

CLICK!!

Man, if I could afford buying one of each, or a few in each colour, my life would be a hell of a lot easier.

But for now, I can only get one. *sob*

I really would have bought it from the Chanel Boutique in Bangkok Airport because the service they had provided me was absolutely first class. I know of them Chanel people in Amsterdam who are obnoxious as hell. And so far, Chanel in KLCC has been kind….well, they better be after the money I’ve spent there! Anybody wants to buy 2 pairs of hardly ever used Chanel shoes, by the way? Only Chanel shoes for sale, unfortunately. Everything else is still on the very much loved list. And the shoes would have been too except that I can no longer FIT INTO THEM.

*WAILS and CRIES*

Coming back to the Chanel Boutique in Bangkok airport, the reason I didn’t buy it there was because it cost RM14,000 and I just KNEW I could get it cheaper.

As much as I wanted to buy it from THAT peach of a lady just because she deserved her commission, I made an economic decision. I needed to get it from Paris or London. I’d save RM4,000 thereabouts. THAT’S how much we’re being taxed on Chanel bags in Malaysia!!!

So……the wait for that Chanel bag continues…….*BIG SIGH*
