I’m sorry if I’m arrogant but these were the absolute best burgers I’d ever tasted! Learnt from gourmet chef Godpa Soorya, the above burger is actually HALF vegetables!!! I kid you not.

Choose any vegetable you want to add into your burger – we added minced celery, carrots, onions, garlic, it had one more leftover vegetable but I cannot remember what now (just something we needed to finish off from the fridge). Mince or chop all your vegetables and then combine it together with the minced beef (or chicken) in half to half ratios. That means equal amounts of burger and vegetables. Add in some salt and pepper, Worcestershire Sauce for seasoning. Once they’re all mashed together, heat up your pan with some olive oil and dump your first burger patty onto the pan. DO NOT MOVE IT or it will crumble. Wait till it is set and cooked underneath and at least half way through before turning it over and then do not move it again.

These can be frozen if you cooked it half way! And you can have delicious home made burgers any time! They were much sweeter (due to the abundance of vegetables) than when T1 cooked her special home made burgers at Nana’s house.

We ate ours with wholemeal burger buns, a huge salad and sautéed onions, melted cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and a whole load of LOVE…………
